| Well I just got back from vacation now.....plugged in the two comps I had with me and turned in their WU's. So I'm back up to five comps again. I got a POS 333 celeron in on it also...LOL. It will take it 4 days to complete 1 WU. But hey, as long as it helps out.......WTF is up with the points.....ATM bigakita has 12 WUs turned in and only 38.36 points. I also have 12 WUs turned in but have 56.31 points. What am I doing different to get more points? How does that work? I just installed and let it run just like Scapegoat said....thats all. ![]() | ||

| Did I miss something here? Why would we want to change to 11115 if everyone is knocking out WU's on 596? Anyway, I hope not, I'm gonna do some of the computers at work today *Mission Impossible music plays* and I'm putting 596 on them I'm planning on catching Sny, OMFG and BigA and winning the brand new car! *just kidding*, but I do plan on catching up ![]() I must warn everyone that if we do have to switch to another number that I will take the lead and nobody will catch me.....muahahahaha! ![]() Last edited by Potato Joe; 16-September-02 at 08:05 AM.. | ||

| OMFG: Their are 'bout 200 diffrent project, each one takes diffrent amounts of time. And the longer it takes the more points it is worth. Hence why Bigakita has more WU but less points, you just got the biger projects.
Duck: Bigakita has already contacted Vijay(admin for Folding@home) He couldnt give him the password because he didnt have any proof of who he was. But he was was perfectly willing to have everything setup and he said he would add our team banner(once we get one) to the folding@home site(which would be the only reason we need the password in the first place, so its not that important). I will email him again to see if we can transfer over points for 11115->596. Potato-> keep knockin' them out dude!! Everyone: Congrats to everyone who is working! We have just broken the Top 1000 mark! And are currently ranked 983!! One hell of an accomplishment for only 1 week! | I'm kind of stationary in my progress right now, 3 of my POS machines are crunching something that takes 1200 passes to complete, they have been on them for days now. But I imagine that when they finish those up, there will be a significant jump in the points. OMFG, I'll catch you yet. ![]() | ||

| I am running folding on my laptop now too. As soon as I can dig up a working modem, I'll dowmload it to my kids PC. I think I can scrap up enpough spare parts to dedicate a machine to fold as well. Do you think it will run on a 75mhz pentium 64MB ram with windows 95? ![]() | ||

| the project you computer gets is set randomly, The info on each project is HERE(PROJECTS) It also lists the timout date for each one. What you may what to do for your 75mhz machine is set it to accept Genome@home Projects instead of protien folding, its the same program, Just that these projects are helping decode the human genome. These are also credidted to the team, but most do not have a timeout date\ | ||

| For those of you who have multiple comp's or just want more info on what the Folding@home Program is doing, Here as a good 3rd party program Electron Microscope This small little program allow you to see what time your WU started, est time it will finish. Number of frame per WU, and your current point score. Best thing of all you can use it to moniter multiple computers in one program(given your computers are networked). | Hellz ya man! That is just what I needed. I was getting tired of pacing between all rooms in my house to track the progress. I have it monitoring all 5 of my comps! It is sweeeeet. Easy as pie to configure too.....just had a few "are you sure this, are you sure that" windows pop up. Now I'm going to have to find another way to get my exercise...LOL. I have been pacing mad from room to room. ![]() | ||

| Well, I lost a WU today. For some reason the F@H locked up on me, it wouldnt fold or compile or whatever it does. It was stuck. Sooooo, it removed it and reset it up, I lost my WU and the log. Im not sure if it is working now, Ive been doing other compiling. I guess I willl see in the morning. | ||

| I lost two WU's today too DW, I had "Network send" something or other. So I dumped the queue.dat file and they started another one. The one that I lost was 93% done the other had stopped at 7% And I had a damn space in front of my name on one computer and that one is gonna be on PR's Team Stats page and never gain any more WU's ![]() | ||
