| Potat-Hoe  |  Wow! I hadn't heard of folding@home. I have now set up all three of my PC's to run it, and am installing OSX on my G3 so that I can run it on there. Hell, if I had OSX for Lisa's imac, I'd run it on there too! So 2 of the comps will be pretty much dedicated to folding@home, and the mac will be too, but my gamer will be on and off.....you know?  Then when I get to work Monday, I'll install it on 5-7 PC's there too! Hurrah for team 596!.....Hell ya!Last edited by Potato Joe; 14-September-02 at 07:50 AM.. | |

| Potat-Hoe | Gawd, how long is this gonna last? Every time I leave and come back I run around to each machine to see how much they have accomplished....LOL! I thought I'd be banging out those WU's.....hehe, it looks as though each machine will probably do 1 or a little over 1 WU everyday. *Eyeballs a new dual processor G4 and wonders how many WU's it will do a day* | |

| Apex Tech God  | I signed up too. Doubt I'll contribute much because I don't run my systems 24/7. (We have really bad power reliability here, we get outages once every couple months, sometimes for extended durations like a half hour to an hour.) But I'm accounted for. Question: If you shutdown in the middle of processing a WU, does it continue where it left off when you restart (kinda like a download manager)? | |
