| F@H down... Their forum pages indicate no work being handed out due to network problems at Stanford. Some mighty pissed folks on the forum right now. I guess some people put a lot of money into this 'charity' folding work and get mad when their comps have to sit idle for a weekend... I don't get it myself, I'll just wait till they get it worked out Sporty... (No I don't want a cookie lol) | ||

| WooHoo! Russia fell! Dudes, we took them out. Of course our defense budget was higher and we outspent them, but WooHoo! I would love to spank Little White Dog. That sounds strange, doesn't it. Let's keep going, pimps. I got my main rig back up and rocking, I swear it completes more WU's than any 4 of my Intel rigs. | ||

| I just completed a new folding rig last week, Celeron 900@1.2, it outfolds my Dell p.o.s 2.0G P4, That tell ya anything? Just found out that Dell actually put a Northie in this thing though, so I can see a mobo swap in my future... Keep up the good work fellas, we're only gaining on the White Dog by a couple hundred points a week, so even the little rigs count now... (Like my K-6/2 500 Laptop LOL) Sport... | ||

| Great job arj, we may still get LittleWhiteDog. Bio, I had that problem on one XP system, never did figure out what caused it. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and it still crashed. I ended up just using console mode and it worked fine. BTW, I have come to prefer console mode better than the graphical mode. | ||

| can you change to console mode if you are already running the graphical mode? or is it a fresh download? Also, if you are running one of the new P4 systems with hyperthreading (the thing that tricks the system into thinking you have 2 CPU's) can you run 2 copies of folding at the same time? Double the WU's double the fun! | ||

| BZA, the HT Pentiums can run two folding sessions no problem, they just need to be located in two different directories. You can switch to console mode, just drop it into the F@H directory you are currently using. It will automatically pick up the workload. Just make sure you turn off the graphics mode. I think it was Insomniac that had a bare folding box put together, you may want to ask him about the Linux thing. MeMyth, it definitely works out your CPU when you are folding. Try reducing your CPU usage to 50% and see if temps are better. | ||

Ya BZA, its a program called Overfoldix It allows you to run it with a minumum of a CPU RAM and Mobo (and a CD Rom, or something else to boot it off of , just for the boot though you can revmove it after words) You can download it, but it requires a bit of Linux programing to get it under You name and team pimprig (it defaults to someone else) I customized one for Insomniac, let me know if you want me to do the same for you | |||||||||||||||||||||
