| wow bigakita, tell me how that happened? I had a printed page and an email from them stating the another number Go ahead and switch it over though that appears to be the correct number......sorry guys ![]() EDIT- if i had to venture a guess, i belive that that team number was probably set up before a while back, it already has WU completed(by someone with a nick, Pimprig SNY), if you press team statistics w/ the other number in it, from the configere menu(11115) it comes up with the one i setup. But i guess it didnt come up in the search since noone had finished a WU yet. hey but lets us the otherone(596), gives us a head start ![]() Last edited by scapegoat; 11-September-02 at 08:35 AM.. | ||

| You are correct Scapegoat, Team Pimprig was started 7 September 2001 but hasn't been active. I'm running on 596 Team Pimprig now. Even has www.PimpRig.com in there as the home page. Must have been one of GK's "wild" nights that he forgot about. ![]() | ||

| It looks as though it was started by SNY. I did a search for 11115 and nothing came up. Sooo... are we going with 596? This is what I have running. Lets make sure everyone is on the same page. Now I had a problem, In the short time I have had it running it sure as hell is not using a small portion of my resources it was using 98% of my processor. FahCore_78 is the process. I dialed this down, but I can't have it robbing me of my processor while I'm trying to work. | ||

| Duck i have never had a problem on it. It uses 100% of your CPU when nothing else is running, but it is set at the lowest prioraty. Last night i was running Frontpage, winamp, Photoshop, and folding@home, as well as about 5 explorer windows, i did not expreaince a slowdown in any of them. Of course if you do you can always dial it down like you said. Here is the one that I setup........ Here is the old one. All you had to do was chage the q= in the url. Anyway i dont see any problem in useing the old team, exept that i dont thing anyone has the password.....so if we wanted to change the name or team graphics we would be unable to do so. What to you think??? | ||

| I say we keep on using 596. I will contact Stanford and explain the situation and see if they will reset the password for us. Of course, the mods and you, Scapegoat, will receive the new one. Duck, try this. Go to your F@H directory and delete queue.dat and core_65.exe. Make sure F@H isn't running when you do it. Then start the program up, it will download an updated core_65.exe. The only drawback is that you will lose any work you may have going currently. Even at idle it is only using 2% of my resources. | ||

| sound good to me BA, im on 596 right now. just about to finish the first WU. I looked all over the folding@home site myself BA to try and find a contact to reset passwords, couldnt find one, so i ended up posting a question in their forums. Im waiting for a response right now on how to go about it. | ||

| I just got off the phone with Vijay Pande, the guy who wrote the folding software and manages the servers. He cannot change or reset the password, because he cannot be positive I am who I say I am. What he did ask for was a link to where we would be hosting our graphics or folding front page and he would ensure we had access to that. So, GK and Scapegoat, do we have room on the server for this? If you set up a directory for folding, just email it to Vijay directly at pande@standord.edu. He also said make sure that the team name and number were in the email. He seemed willing to help. | ||
