I'm having problems with F@H Pimprig Edition - I get the following, before the window closes automatically;

Can anyone help me with this?

First of all, you're folding for the wrong team

Try going into the FAH program folder and manually delete all of the cores: this will force the program to download a new core from stanford.

By wrong team, do you mean Lokie vs BA etc?

Honestly, i was just giving you a bit of friendly ribbing (at least that's how i intended it).

Did you try deleting the cores? Also, try opening your windows task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and see if you have more than one FahCore running (you should also see a FahConsole).

I would recommend not using the current PR F@H installer. Instead go here and either download their graphical version for the console one and during installation enable the service option if that's what you are looking to do. Doing this will give you the newest version which will let you take advantage of the newer cores.

If anyone is knowledgable on the effects of older versions using newer cores let me know if their are compatibilty issues. It may be time to update the PR installer if that is the case.

I'm still using v 3.24 and i've had no problems (knocks on wood). About 6 months ago i had a problem with FAH. I tried to update the console and wound up with 2 cores trying to run at the same time (um...chalk that one up to user error). The only way i caught it was by opening the task manager and realizing that i had fuggered up sommehow.

Oh, right, that's strange, considering I downloaded it straight from this website. I couldn't tell which files if any, were the core, so I uninstalled it and that removed all but the TrayIt files.
The are no incidences of the program in Task Manager at all. After the screenshot I posted, the window closes down and it stops running (processor percentage < 10% ).

I'll try downloading a more current version and specifiy the team number manually...

Edit; I downloaded the "Windows NT/2000/XP "No-nonsense" text-only console (with built-in Windows-service-install option)" - this was an .exe file which I ran after uninstalling the previous version. However, the same window runs as before [it didn't install, but simply ran from the .exe] (giving a team number that I didn't specify) and closed down, like it did before?

that is weird. Uninstall it again, and afterwards do a search for FAH: start button, search, all files and folders, FAH (as the search topic), search all your hard drives.
See if that brings up any other instances of FAH. If it does, uninstall/delete them, and then try downloading FAH again.

had to move the girl`s xaserV to the basement and the cable/wirless to the living room,2nd story not the best place for the d-link,all the units much happyer now. also working for thrasher2 agien...but i still kant find the start menu(or task bar).it don`t bother her any thou

You have any print screens? (Of the Start menu) Funnny that you can not find it.

...been missing for over 4 months,have had 4 people come over and try to find it,it must still be there someware or things would not work on restart..that make sence

Sweet deal! My boss is totally down with letting me install F@H on the computers here at work (wish I could install on the store locations too, but "corporate" HQ rigs will be enough for now). Turns out his family has all sorts of medical problems on his mom's side so he was more than willing to help in the research.
So far I added a P3(old and slow but better than nothing) and a P4 2.4GHz. I believe all of the other 4 rigs are 2.4GHz as well.
More to follow as I get access to them, some of my co-workers are on vacation.
