| Apex Tech Fanatic | I was up and folding on my computer fine before, but then I had to take my computer down to work on it some. When I put it back together and booted it up, I had some network problems because it had been relocated or something. I ended up doing a system restore to a previous date. This uninstalled everything from my computer, including F@H. So I reinstalled folding, and it seems to work fine. Until you click on the icon to get the graphical display. When you do that it says it caused an error do you want to send it to microsoft blah blah blah.....I tried uninstalling and redownloading and reinstalling and it didn't work. I have Windows XP Professional. Any advice? Need any specific error messages I'm recieving?? Any help would be great, I want to get back up and folding.

| Apex Tech God | I think Im the only one that solves all my problems with a nice spanky clean install. I have my time down to just under 2 hours. My DVD Ripper rig uses a piece of very dodgy software that self destructs the machine every 3 months - I therefore dont get to excited and can get it back up in just under 1 hour. |

| Apex Tech Fanatic Supreme | I did the exact same thing, but I ended up reinstalling because of other probs but I got xp pro and sometimes you just have to fool with a different date as a system restore point.Windows claims this restore is a godsend but its a pain in the ***.Just try a different point or the same one till you get the desired effect. I lost alot of info but I had to go to a restore point like a month before to get it right. and right now my little doodads work

| Apex Tech Maniac Supreme | If you're willing to reinstall it uninstall the app, then manually delete the Folding@Home folder in the Program Files folder. Sometimes it stores the work files in the program's folder, sometime it stores it in your Documents and Settings folder, so check there for anything related.... mainly looking for a "work" folder with files with "wu" in the name.

Yeah, that's when I'd do it. No reason to go dumping a half completed work unit.
