Talking T2 has a GPU F@H Question?

Is the higher Stream Processors on a card better for cranking out the WU's?

I see some cards with higher and lower Stream Processors Processing Units.

Which is better for F@holding?

Stream Pocessors ftw! Cranking a little over 6k PPD on a 8800GT by leaving it stock except the shaders, maxed them till it crashed, then backed off. 8800's if you are on a budget. Should hit 5 to 6K PPD with a bit of a overclock and aftermarket cooling on them.

Misread your post T2! The more Stream Processors the better. The higher you clock the shaders, the more points you get.

Gpu folding has a limitation .

At around 300 stream processors the core starts to fall on its face.
Its thought that it has to do with data saturation on the hardware leval.

Thats why Ati cards with 800+ SP's dont perform as you would epect.

This is currently being addressed at stanford.

What if I had a card that was under 300 stream processors?

Can anyone tell me what was the best ATI card to F@H with?

ATI HD 3650 cards have less than 300 Stream Processors

Would these work?

Stream Processors 120 Stream Processing
$79.99

SAPPHIRE 100236HDMI Radeon HD 3650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2

GeForce GTX 280 has 240 stream CPU's.....

My current 8800GT over the course of about 30-35 hours is showing up as 1200PPD,

Fred_G Has been getting ~5000+ PPD with 8800GT's and I'm pretty sure mines clocked higher (all around 770/1925/950) so it's a bit disappointing.

What's the word on your PPD with the 8800GT T2?

Temps for anyone who cares...
46C - CPU
51C - GPU
35C - System

You may want to look into that some. I am getting better than 5000ppd on two different 8800gt machines. Granted if I can keep my network up for 24hrs to actually turn in that many points life would be golden.

Friggin Linksys garbage.

Don't be dissin' my 8800GT s1ugh34d! It is currently getting 6098PPPD.

GPU clock 732
Shader clock 1855
RAM 987
GPU Temp 57C

If I go much higher on the Shader, I start getting a 'Run: exception thrown in GuardedRun" EUE or Unstable machine. I have been tweaking around with the GPU clock and ram. I am having hell trying to get an average PPPD of 20K! Getting close!
