| Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I was getting around 5200PPD off my 8800GT. Now it is at 3200PPD... Well, maybe a new Bata will come along. The points were sweet while they lasted. Anyone else getting less PPD or is it just me? E | ||

| Heh Heh, he said buttweasel. ![]() Anyways, as to the actuall subject of this post. I have never seen over 5000ppd from an 8800gt. My best producer is still only pushing like 4300ppd from an 8800gt with a limited overclock. (mainly due to temps) | ||

| Depending on the WU, I get from 3700 - 5500 ppd with my 9800gtx's. The problem I'm having now for the last two weeks is that all my SMP folders keep getting EUE's and "MISSING_WORK_FILES" errors. Nothings overclocked right now and temps are fine. I even added a gig of memory to all my rigs (all those things are supposed to cause these problems). The old 5.91 SMP version would always recreate the work files and continue where it left off. Now I have to delete everything and start over. Very Frustrating!!!! ![]() | ||

| Got this sucker rigged up ghetto style! Will have some picts this weekend. Cooling wise, I gained a degree or 2 on the GPU temp, it is at 57 while folding, which is most excellent. The PCB temp, according to GPU-Z, is down 6 degrees or so. But damn... The noise... it is gone! Next up for quiet cooling is my 3870X2. Way to much noise out of this thing! Oh well, I am going to crank this sucker till it crashes! ![]() E | ||

| The reason some WU,s are yielding less points is because stanford is testing much larger proteins. Hence, the work involved from the increased atom counts in the new work units seems to be saturating the shaders, etc. Its thought that perhaps optimizations in Nvidias "Cuda" source code will be needed to address this issue. But apparently its helped even out the Points per day a little between Nvidia and Ati cards. Some of the new (Non Public) WU's in testing have my cards at only 50% of the usual production... ![]() | ||

| Looks like Nvidia cards points will be going up soon. It seems that Nvidia is testing some new code revisions ,perhaps we'll see something in the public realm soon. The pic says it all Last edited by RBIEZE; 18-September-08 at 01:49 AM.. | ||

| I hope the points are going up! What is up with the GPU display? It used to not work with Nvidia cards. Seems to be buggy as heck. I get massive numbers when I open it up though! Check out this pict. Did a quick screenshot when the display started. It levels off to 2900-3k after a few seconds. ![]() E | ||
