Remember to tell your friends and relatives about F@H, and get them Folding for Team 596, too! We don't care if you use one machine or a million, as long as you're Folding (just remember to get permission to run F@H on someone else's machine first) We also don't care if you're Folding@Home, Folding@Work, Folding@Wherever, AS LONG AS YOU'RE FOLDING!

Well, now that I have a bit more muscle under the hoods of my respective machines, I can kick more than before. So much so that I've happily made it into the Top 10 for Team Producers... Sad that a big factor was so many people just dropping out, though...

Back folding again........just download the new software to use with CUDA..........the 8800GTX is humming along now folding.

HP, when I right-click and see that, I just close it and then re-open it, I usually see the actual progress...

Far as I know, the console client running multiple instances still works, I can't remember where, but I've read that the SMP client is more efficient, since it uses the multiple cores to work on a single WU (supposedly faster than 4 singles). The nice thing I've been seeing so far are the 1500+ pointers that my SMP picks up.

Check out the F@H current projects listing, and scroll down until you see the GRO-SMP coded projects' scores...

On the Nvidia GPU2 folding, the screen thingy is broke. Don't use it. Use FahMon to check your points. With my E6600, I get hella more points just folding with the GPU. If I kick in the CPU, I get only 25% of what just the GPU can do.

With my Q6600, I am running SMP and an ATI 3870 GPU, and they work well together. Try just the card, and then the card with the CPU(s) folding and see what gives you more points.

If your card is 'humming' you are in buidnes!

Piscikeeper has all but 3 of the machines in the house folding for him. Not to mention his 2 gpu's that are folding.

We are 'negotiating' the possibility of me 'borrowing' one of his gpu's to fold under my name for a few days.

(I'm #114 and I'm shooting for the top 100)

I just got my PS3 folding but shes only doing about 1100 ppd. Is this normal because i thought it was supposed to be a really fast folding machine.

Thanks... Been trying to make up for having my machines go the way of the Dodo on me while I was deployed... Didn't have a whole lot of time during R&R that I really wanted to spend on fixing them up, but once I got back and got settled, got the machines tuned and ready and away we go!

It also helps to have a couple machines to take care of the smaller WUs in between my SMP knocking out the 1500+ pointers every day or so... Plus, the GPU client is nice, continually cranking through the 480-pointers on a pretty steady clip...

BTW, how's the Soldier Girl?
