Your puny Opteron is no match for one of my systems. In fact, you could fire up everthing you have and I think Gruntville would keep closing the gap.

2.8 million points and shrinking every day. Soon we will be taking your spot.

You're all bark and no bite. You still ain't in our top 5 threat list. And we've steadily begun gaining momentum again. We still have quite some time to thwart your pathetic efforts.

Give us a couple of months. Apparently you have quite a few extra on your tail besides us. For some reason Team Whoopass, aka Cuda has decided that folding at home isn't just for chumps like us anymore.

I think I'm gonna join you and start my machine folding again.. it's outdated, P4 3.2Ghz.. maybe when I get my laptop from school, it'll be more effective... Come late August I'll have "Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5 GHz(6 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB, 64-bit CPU) with 3GB RAM

All I got is a MT-30 folding 24/7 but its running @ 1.6 GHZ.....

But I'll soon have a E7200 that runs similar power consumption, but cranks out the WU's.

Anyhow, Gruntville has 43 active users and the avg. PPD is ~1900, on the other hand Team Pimprig has 67 active users, with avg PPD of 800.

We need to beef up them machines, and get more of the 700 some users folding.

I think we may be staving them (Gruntville) off for a little while longer now... We seem to be getting more people back into folding, but getting the 813 total users who have at some point contributed to the team total may be a non-starter.

Too many people have either left the site, or have placed folding on the back burner, or have just quit the site and folding altogether...

I am still up and running GPN! Looking to expand the borgs a bit in the next few weeks. This new GPU folding is just insane points!

Fred, I know you're still cranking them out... And while I may not be able to give you the personal competition that we used to have back when you started (before your purchase of acres of Folding Farm), you better keep peeking over your back every now and again... Just this AM, I looked at my overtakes, and there are very few people who are still in the gray ahead of me...

Seriously, though... I know that there are like 813-ish names listed on the Team Pimprig users' list, but that not all of them are individual users. Some people had problems setting up their username, so they got "Settings" or "Test" or whatever stuck in there somewhere. Not a big deal, but let's start thinking about how many of them have slacked off folding, left the site, or the forum scene altogether... How do we get them back to folding (much less to the site)?

Trust me GPN, I am cranking out the WU's to try to keep ahead of you! And the 'farm' is very small, just very productive... I get probably 85% of my points from just 2 boxs!

I am also curious who all is still active. If you can think of any way to get fresh blood folding or on the site, I will help any way I can. Kinda quiet here lately, my keyboard echos when I type..

Hopefully I'm not off topic but I haven't been folding for quite some time due to the secondary ISP implementing their blocking of sites so I could not fold for a while but I'm back up and running with over 5 Desktops and 2 laptops and a PS3 all running for the summer

I do but I think I only got one card that can and other than that I'm in the US and I raise the task priority depending on the system specs so it could pump more WU.

So I really can't risk loosing a system for 2 months since I don't really know how to start the GPU folding yet... I might test it when I return

I sure would like those IBM and HP blade servers my government has... Wish my aunt didn't leave her post as database manager...

Well, my PPD dropped off a little bit there, but I'm right in your rearview as far as production goes, Fred...

Maybe a little more good luck with my SMP and GPU cores and I'll start gaining ground on you again... I hate gray... Red isn't even seen (not much fun there), but green is soooo much better, and there seems to be a lot of green on my overtake as of late... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Even THRASHER2 is in my gunsights as we speak...

There was a COX tech doing either a move-in or a move-out, and in the process I lost cable everything for about two whole days. Just came back online last night... It'll take me a bit, but I figure that a year or two should have me inside the top 10 overall for Team Pimprig...

Be good to see you in the top 10 GPN! I got my new borg's CPU in today, should have the mobo in Thursday. It won't give me a whole lot of points, untill the 8800 video card shows up. That should get me 2 to 3k more PPD.

E

You definantly want the GPU stuff running if you can, my Radeon is cranking out some nice points, and I hear Nvidia's stuff really runs some WU's!

GPU2 Clients require a nVidia Card that is 8xxx series or newer or an ATI card that is a HD2xxx series or newer. Sorry, but your card will offer no help. Trust me as I feel bad about my 7600 GT which has to sit idle as well.
