Got my new 8800 Folding for almost 24hrs, not getting the points I had hoped for. Will obviously have to do some overclocking on it! By the way, the stock Intel heatsinks for the Q6600 suck on a Q6600, but work pretty good on a E6600.

Me and my two Quad Cores are shaking in their boots. My 8600GT is still idle and doesn't have much to say.

Good job on breaking 70K average though. Your team has been amping it up a bit lately. Watch out for HP though. Apparently the power is back on in California because they decided to start ramp up the numbers again.

You only have 2 Quads? What, can't afford at least one dual core? You fire up that P4, yeah, that will bring you over the top...

It's probably not gonna take us over the top but I had to throw my elbow into this one. I've got an 8800gt on its way. I still haven't decided how to configure things though. I will have 2 Q6600 systems running smp folding. My main rig already has 2x 8800gt's in sli. I'm running one instance of gpu2 on that system and I don't know if I want to start a second instance and disable sli or just move the second card over to the other Q6600 machine. That leaves the lowly little opty165 that only turns out 880 ppd. I figure on getting rid of the smp folding on the opty and installing the new 8800gt (on it's way from the egg)on that machine. Step it up from 880 ppd to around 2000 or so. Too much hardware and too many choices.

I want everybody on our team to be in my sights. I'm still trying to figure out how to catch Estwingman though without dropping a huge sum of cash into it.

I got an 8800GT folding and I am a bit dissapointed in it. Am going to look into it this weekend. Any ideas on running an E6600 with two console folding vs SMP? I had trouble getting the SMP to run, so I went for the few points I could get with it. Did a little overclocking and made a few more PPD.

Looks like Team PimpRig is getting fired UP! GPN trying to sneak up on me AGAIN!

We need more though. These furniture moving Gruntville folks need to be put back in the bag of dumb bitches!

My 8800gt is getting a little over 2000ppd with a mild overclock. 20 or 30mhz, I'm at work and don't know the exact number. I know the dual core chips don't fold as well as the quads but I have been running my opty for well over a year now since smp first came out and have very few problems with it. I don't know why an E6600 would have trouble with it. The one thing I did notice though is that the gpu folding uses one core of a quad machine just for itself. You effectively cut a quad core down to a three core machine. I lost about 400 ppd off the quad smp but gained over 2000 back by running the gpu console. If I put this new vid card in my opty machine I will drop it from an smp to a single core client to allow the second core in the opty just for the gpu client.

Yeah, I am going to look into my setup on that borg this weekend. I am only getting a little over 1K PPD with the 2 E6600 cores running the console version and the 8800 running the GPU2 client. I think it should be a lot more. I have a couple of things to check when I have time.
