So today I check my stats and all my threats are gone. Sure, I am going to add some power to the borg later this week, but what happened? I had 2 or 3 threats last week.

I am a little dissapointed in my fellow Pimps. What do we need to get our team back up and kicking? You need DDR2 RAM to fold on, I got a RMA with Mushkin going on Free RAM for you when I get it... Our team is just looking lame.

And I say that, but mean no disrespect to longtime folks that only have a box or 2 to fold on. Fold on what you can.

Don't worry, as soon as I figure out why my one q6600 rig is running so hot I will again be trying to pass you.

I feel ya on the Q6600 and heat. I am ordering a new heatsink for mine later this week. Then I can crank up the OC on it! I got a new borg on the way from the 'Egg. A Q6600 lightly overclocked should give me a couple more PPD than an old socket A...

haven't gotten around to installing F@H on the new e8400 ... it's running 38C at idle, and I'm wondering if that's okay. Probably ... ambient temps are around 72F and I know the airflow in that rig sux at the moment.

Mine runs around 40° or more at idle. 38° would be nice...

Ah, good! I was hoping I wasn't too far off norm. I'm using an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro HSF -- only $25, and it's had excellent reviews for its price point -- but it's new to me, so I wasn't sure. I just upped my rig from an old socket 478, so I'm expecting to be able to churn out WUs a lot faster, once I get started. Perhaps tonight ....

With the kids out of school,and the release of Mass Effect on Pc, my rigs generate alot less Ppd.

I put together another E2180 based system last night .
Should be good for another 800+ points a day.

NewEgg reports my parts for a quad are enroute to Ft Worth, so I should have them Thursday. Most likely will not run SMP, but will run 4 Folding instances.

After posting that comment I decided to check online for their average ppd, and it seems that it's only about 850ppd So with your 2 quads you should be pulling about 5000ppd with 2 SMP cores and I'll have less than 2000 But 850 is still 850

The Quad I am building is going to my Dad's house, so I will most likely just run 4 console clients, so probably only an additional 1000ppd. But I will take the points...

Damn quad is up and running folding on 3 to 4 cores. I am tired. .Net won't install for some reason, running 3 or 4 console versions. But it is up and alive.

Temps on my new Quad borg are around 69°C stock! Will have to fix that. Got a new heatsink coming in Wednesday for my main 'puter, might let me overclock it a bit more...

Got that one down in the 40's to 50's will o/c Wednesday... Borg is lightly overclockedto 2.6GHz. Ugly sucker, it will go into a case this weekend.
