I dunno. What is happeneing to TeamPimpRig? You guys are slacking off. A steady decline the past few weeks from a daily average of over 75k to not even 65k yesterday. Tsk tsk.

Meanwhile, me and my friends over at Team GruntvillE have been on a tear in the opposite direction, going from 60k to around 85-90k a day. At this rate y'all will be looking at our rear bumper in 8 months or so. And this is after you guys have a several year headstart on us and more active folders than we do.

Fred, those q6600 intel chips fold like mad. I have 2 machines running them, one linux one windows. They can turn in a scientific core smp unit in roughly 14-15 hours = just over 2000 ppd per machine. I am currently the #4 producer on the team with only 3 computers folding.

Now wait a minute, DickNervous, you aren't trying to steal our people to your team are you?

vf1000ride, my one quad and a few socket A's are all that is keeping me in the top 10. Looks like I have a hard drive lined up. I found a good deal on a mobo, just need to get some ram and another Q6600.

I found a dude that wants to buy my old NFS-7 board. I get a nice router and a few bucks. Wanna set up one of those 'Nix folding quads so vf000ride does not make me #11

I'm down for the count, My borgs all went offline, when my router died. I can't update any of the five WU's sitting waiting for internet connection. If I only had two pc's and it took all of ten seconds to switcha a cable, no biggy, but my borgs are all over the house, and currently I'm only running the PC I'm posting this from.

This really sucks, I was well on my way to 200k this year.

vf, I am not trying to steal any of your folders, but they are more than welcome to come join an up-and-comming team if they want.

I just want to stir up the hornets next, or as some GrunvtillE folks said, "sandpaper a tigers a$$".

What ever happened to the Almighty Thrasher2 Army? I think I ran them over a while ago with my puny squad. I only used ten computers and next thing I know I am pushing my way past most of your folders. Now that I cut back and let the team have some fun, I see the entire team has decided that the game is afoot at we will get serious about taking your spot.

Tired of being knocked down a notch? Somebody's at the door... are you going to answer?

Looks like my new borg will be built in the next week or so. s1ugh34d, do you need a router? I got a Linksys 4 port (no wireless) #BEFSR41 v2. If that will get you back up and folding, shoot me a PM with your address and I will ship it to you next week.

I got it fixed up

But for some reason my switch from my 2800+ to the MT-30 changed my PPD from like ~130 to like ~50...WTF?

The MT-30 has 1MB L2 and its running identical speeds of 2.6GHz? I'm lost...

And I upgraded the box from 256MB of ram to 1GB, I just can't figure that out. I'll have to get the other machines back up this month, I'm running a little less at work so I should have time to get the cluster back up and running.

My quad had an overclock problem the other day, somehow it dropped itself down to stock.

Got it back up and running a little over 3GHz. My PPD is dropping as well, not sure why.

WU's could be eating up more processing power to process the same number of points therefore lowering your PPD

I won't say that we are done, but I don't think we will overtake PimpRig this year.

Now wait one second, I am NOT ready to toss in the towel. Yes, we have fallen off the last two weeks but one of our top folders (Hobbes) who lives in Beaumont TX was without power for a week and is still without net access. He has a GTX280, GTX260, and a quad and dual core Intel CPUs and was putting up some SERIOUS numbers right before the storm, like 15k/day at least. And my production dropped a bit this week due to problems with FAH on one of my rigs. So while you may have a reprieve, you're not free yet.

We WILL be back. That is both a promise AND a threat.
