Are you using the console version or the graphical version on your pc? It could be that the work server your pc is attempting to send the finished work to isn't picking it up right away and that it's just going to take a while. If you could find the fahlog.txt files for the pc installation and open them in notepad to see if there are any error messges, that will help us out quite a bit in figuring this out. Also, double and triple check your setup to make sure your username and team number are correct. I've folded at least half a dozen work units for variants on my name over the years. d

I ment the Whole log...That small bit doesnt help at all. But,I may know whats up. I get the feeling that your running the same W.U on each instance. If so you'll only get credit for the first one turned in. Look at this part of the log for each instance. [17:58:57] Project: 2653 (Run 24, Clone 164, Gen 73) If its the same in each instance, you need to manually set the -local flag for each instance for EACH instance of folding. heres info on flags. How do I know what the client flags (-switches) are and what they do? - FaHWiki

| Thanks for the info, but it still stands that i only got credit for the wu's my ps3 finished. If i am running the same work unit twice(which i think i am) then i should still have four work units finished, but i only have the 2. Oh and here is my log Last edited by Inquiringmind012000; 03-April-08 at 11:13 PM.. | ||

| You have a "CLIENT_DIED" message in your log file, look and see. That's usually an overclocking problem (I should know since I suck at OC'ing and lose thousands of points every time I try). When you get CLIENT_DIED errors, delete the cores, then restart the service and all should be fine (sometimes ) If all else fails, delete everything and start from scratch. I know it sucks but that's how it goes in the folding world these days ![]() | ||

| Alrighty, now i am getting credit, but.... . . . Now I am getting errors saying my work unit isn't going through, and i get the error after every finished wu. Odd thing though, when i check my stats, it shows up with my last completed one. Right now my stats show 9WU's, and my PS3 has done 5 of em, meaning my pc has done 4(sounds about right). But after every WU, it gives me a WU could not be sent, keeping in que. Am i worrying for nothing, or are my units not getting sent. After all, whats the point of doing these if they don't get back to the brains that study them(its not all about the points). Here are both of my logs(one of them is split in two). Core 1 will be the first two logs, and core two will be the third one. P.S. Sorry for all the frequent restarts, i was worried about them not going through, so i just restarted several times. Also, i don't like to run F@H unless i can monitor the comp, or when i decide its gaming time. Edit: P.P.S. How about one of them nifty markers showin my team support. | In your first log file, at the top you see this (I highlighted the problem in RED): --- Opening Log file [March 12 02:09:56] # Windows Console Edition ################################################## ### ################################################## ############################# Folding@Home Client Version 5.04beta Folding@home - Main ################################################## ############################# ################################################## ############################# Launch directory: C:\Program Files\F@H\Core 1 Executable: C:\Program Files\F@H\Core 1\FAH504-Console.exe [02:09:56] Configuring Folding@Home... If you don't know how to do this, read this: How do I reconfigure the console client options? - FaHWiki That should work ![]() | ||
