47 of our top 100 contributors have not had a single core folding last 7 days, most of those, appr. 90% have not had any cores folding last 50 days...
I don't know their reason, some probably gone for vacation, some rigs might be worked on, modded etc... but 47% is a very high number for that....

C'mon ppl, get back in to folding, get Team Pimprig back on the map...
At least let the computer you surf with fold, many small creeks make up one big river...

There's a lot of wasted cpu power out there... put some of it to work for humanity...

Rankings 200-100, only 15 ppl still folding, thats 85% thats not.....

Rankings 200-1 will then be 66% is not folding anymore...

I had a 320 dollar electric bill with 22 machines running, and living single by myself in my own house. Don't think so.

I used to do 1000ppd but at the cost of 320 dollars a month, no, I'll pass.

I only run maybe 4 or 5 machines now so my ppd has fallen like a rock, but don't feel bad about me, I got mr.mods running it on his school network and everyone here knows how much HE does. In one day he is doing what my 22 machines were doing in a week.

j-dogg - I don't ask for multiple machines running, all i ask is to fold on the rig you're surfing with.
There's a Swedish saying that goes like: "Many tiny creeks makes up a huge river" Meaning - if we all pull some points, 50-100-200ppd and theres 100of us doing it... not only do we put Team Pimprig back on the map, but also we're solving protein problems, we might pull some points for Team Pimprig, but most important, we're pulling some points for humanity, for our own and kids future, our own and kids existence and well being.

And j-dogg - by having mr.mods fold at the school, you're doing your part + some, don't feel offended.

I'm not want to offend anybody thats folding, or not folding, thats not my intention.
My intention is to get as many ppl back to folding as possible,,, but in the end it is your choice, and I respect your choice whatever it will be.

Ah young Folding Jedi... I see you have the folding addiction. Keep in mind, some have joined teams (Chapper is folding for me) but some just don't fold. They don't know/understand or just don't want to do it, or can't afford to max out in the summer like JDogg.

Always great to see folks stepping up to Fold! My points are down, but still have a few machines folding. I have had better luck adding a local machine or two than adding members on the site. T2 has a ton in his army. I have my borgs and Chapper.

I understand the Power bill issue, I understand that some are now folding for teams, i figured that.
I just wanted to plant a seed, and put some fertilizer on it....

For me, it is mostly money, I had machines stacked up 2 and 3 high and I made two wiring harnesses for it, one for power, one for network, I used VNC over my laptop to manage them all.

I would spend a weekend at the surplus warehouse just finding boards and processors just to make into folding rigs, in one day I spent over 250 dollars for 5 boards and processors and some 4gb HDD's and went home and built them into Folding machines. I had everything from 1ghz P3's to at one time, of those 22 machines, 16 were XP1600 / 1.5ghz and higher, with 10 of those in the 2.5 - 3ghz / XP2000 - XP3200 range. I would shut my AC off come back home and it would be hotter in my house than it was outside, and I live in Florida.

I just cant afford a 300 dollar electric bill every month, I don't like it being 100 degrees in my house when I come home, and nevermind all the noise from 50-something fans in aircooled computers. so what if I don't fold like I used to, I was folding for 596 before 90% of the people on this site were even registered here.

What did you say j-dogg? I can't hear you over the 2 laptops and my main rig folding here, and the AC kicking and the TV... J-dogg, Fold when you can. I would not want anyone to have to get a second or third job to pay the power bill just to fold! I think all would agree j-dogg is a Pimp folder.

I'm feeling bad now at this point because I just dropped two of my four rigs since yesterday. I don't know whats wrong yet with the one but the second looks like a dead hard drive. I was doing sweet recently also, being steady above the 2000ppd level. Hopefully I'll have everything back at full power before the month is out.

Dang, you are hitting 2k with 4 rigs! I am running 4 at my place, and have at least 3 borgs and am hitting 500 to 1500 a day. Dang laptop computers and old socket A stuff...

I have a stash of computer parts that I will donate to help out folders, but am out of hard drives right now.

Fold with what you have and what you can borg.
