Get to work! LOL. One good way to get a borg or two is to make the folding program the price you charge for working on your parents or close friend's computers. You know you will be fixing them for free, so why not get something out of it! And sometimes, you never know, you can get your boss in on it and put it on the work computers.

A year or so ago I was pulling around 1 to 2k points of a bunch of socket A computers...

And I have found the log file on the folding program helpful. A while back, I noticed I was getting a bunch of EUE's, (1 point work units) and tracked it down to my Dad's computer. He was having some issues with stability, swapped out the RAM, and it seems to be back up and doing well.

Heck, I have even given away a 1.5GHz computer with the condition that it folds. I don't think it is folding now, but it did for 6 months, and they paid the power bill. I will have to get it back in the fold...

My next goal is top 200... which i should reach in a couple of weeks, and in a months time or so, i will add another 2 cores for a total of 6...

Just been folding on my laptop lately cause of powerbill in hot florida, but as of yesterday i added a pentium d 945 to smp fold, so i should be looking at least 1500ppd with the laptop smp folding aswell...


Also bought a q6600 for the 1945 computer yesterday... for 20 bucks! unopened! b3stepping...
Someone at work won it in a local raffle, price given away by compusa... Guy brought it to work, says something like " Hey guys, anyone wanna buy this, i don't even own a computer, i don't need it..." Nobody responding... so i say " All i got is a twenty" He goes "It's yours"

Yeah I've lookedat P35 and Nvidia680 boards... haven't made up my mind yet, i need 2 Pci-e slots\1 for graphics, and 1 for SAS controller.... for the 18 dollar seagate cheetah LOL
