| They keyboard turned out pretty decent. Much better with the material you supplied. That stuff I had been buying off of eBay was way too thick and I couldn't get it to form even with a heat gun. I tried several different techniques and it still looked like crap. The thin stuff from mnpctech did the trick. It will be packed and shipped in a couple of days. | ||

| The factory 3.5" (HD) cage was removed earlier to make space for the front BIX single radiator & 120mm fan. So I bought this plastic 5.25" to 3.5" bay adapter Sold Here, to accomondate one Hard Drive for the Server Motherboard (PCApex side) This Enermax case is soo old... (How old is it?) That it was manufactured before USB. There was no front I/O ports in this case. So I bought a second 5.25" to 3.5" adapter to hold this 3.5" I/O panel unit with USB 2.0 ports and Mic/Headphones for Gary to use at Lan Events. The 5.25 to 3.5 bay adapters get prepped to be painted "Grape" to match the chassis This adapter will hold Hard Drive for the Server Motherboard (PCApex side) Corse surface finish must be sanded first if you want a glossy paint finish. "Black & Decker's Mouse Sander" with Medium grit Sandpaper Sanded surface of Adapter I just can't do paint alone, it needs a little pimpin out. Using Tin Snips to cut out mesh. This is the same mesh used for the front bezel grill. Aluminum Modders Mesh GOOP brand HouseHold Contact Adhesive for attaching Mesh to Plastic Allow GOOP to cure for 24 hours. | 24hrs has passed. The Goop HOUSEHOLD adhesive holding the grill inside the 5.25 to 3.5 bay adapter has cured. For painting plastics, I always apply Plasti-kote's Flexible Primer as a base coat first "Painters Touch" brand aerosol paint. The color is "Grape" | ||

| Ok, time to start cracking on the case badge that will list all the cool people who donated funds to support PRT I knew from day I wanted Tribal designs on this case. Glitterkill loves Tribal. It's only fitting that the focal point of the front be tribal. I also knew the names would be laser etched in acrylic. I sat down while watching Motorcycle Mania 3 and worked on PRT's badge on our coffee table. Here, I'm sketching out the design on tracing paper. You beauty of tracing paper is you only need to draw one side, fold the paper and copy it. That way left & right proporations match! Tracing design onto Translucent Purple Acrylic Cutting Acrylic Case Badge on Bandsaw with 1/8" cutting blade for plastics and metal Tracing Acrylic Case Badge onto 6061, 1/8" thick aluminum Aluminum back plate for Acrylic Badge Sanding the edges of Acrylic with 400 grit sadpaper Fire up the Butane torch!, to flame polish the edges of acrylic for uniform finish aluminum back plate. This is just a mock up. The final piece may have different font, title on top Last edited by mnpctech; 27-June-07 at 02:47 PM.. | ||

| Pretty frikin sweet ![]() Have we had an answer to which cables we need for the PSU? If we can cut down the clutter it would be nice. If no answer we might as well sleeve the all of the cables. If so I will include some purple zip ties for final installation. | ||

| Good to hear from you Red02 The Badge is finished! I decided to have the contributor names etched on the backside of the acrylic. I figured they're less likely to get scratched up. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by GlitterKill; 16-May-08 at 11:53 PM.. | ||

| Photos of the watercooled 1U (TYAN-Intel) system during the leak test outside of the chassis. You can see everything up close. Filling up Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Hi-Flo Reservoir with 1/2" The ledge or "baffle" inside really does help reduce turbulant flow. ![]() I wanted to show everyone a side by side comparison of the systems on each side, but how did I do it? Here I am putting togther a diy photo studio. I bought the back drop at a fabric store. Find the most dense black cloth you can find. Black Velvet is ideal, but it's costly. I drapped it over a piece of wood trim Ogre found in the hallway, then taped to my camera tri-pod. ![]() ![]() After pasting the photos in Photoshop, I used the "Paint Bucket" to fill in the grey shadows in the Black backdrop. ![]() It looks like my photos were taken in a professional studio ![]() Last edited by GlitterKill; 16-May-08 at 11:54 PM.. | ||
