I can light up about anything.... I have an aria that would give you a UV burn if you looked at it to long

Imagine the dimensions of the HD board you made, but illuminates the front grill perhaps... Probally best to brainstorm lighting F/X while ya'll here.

Tell ya what... I will see what kinda time frame Lokie has.. Personally I dont care how long we stay there lol... but if time permits.. I could possibly do a PCB from start to finish.. the main thing that is not to easy is the laser printer and PC that would be needed... hmm will have to think on it...

While I am a big fan of easy trix, flaming the edges of this plexi is just out of the question. With the sharp points on the corners, I just couldn't take the chance of distorting them with the heat of the flame. Just have to do it the old fashoned way. So I whipped out some compound and "Finesse It - easy clean up" fine compound to finish out the edges by hand. Next up....mounting leds and the wonderfull use of "The Tape Of The Gods" as Bill so claims it.

Sure thing... I will try to bring a nice bit of stuff providing we can get our bench finished and get our stuff off the storage shelves and back to normal lol...

BTW walking will be a lil bit slow Saturday... had to kill a bat in the house the other night and ended up while looking up trying to catch the lil bugger I stepped on a toy which caused my right knee to pop sideways... ER Doc said I have significant ligament damage.... have to wait and see what the specialist says..

Thanks for haven us again Bill, as allways it was a blast. I wont be able to drop by again for some time....as you seen I have our own shop to finish and the misses is leaven. So time will be tight for awhile.

Weekend Update:

This is the new bezel bay door. It's 1/2" thick 6061 billet aluminum.

The Tribal design around the alum mesh grill was cnc milled.

For everyone drooling over this... No offence Bill but those pics do NOT do that piece justice.. seeing it in person just ... wow... its alot better in person...

and it's heavier than it looks in these photos too ...hehe

Remember that 5.25 Rheobus Controller I was modding on Sat?

Do you have any 3 wire, UV leds I could use with that?

Nope

To my knowledge unless some company had special ordered/manufactured some... UV Bi colors do not exist..

There is however a solution I believe may would... a couple actually...

1) wire the positive of the LED to the positive output from both sides of the connector (should be outside two) and the negative to the center.... this should work fine although I think you might want to use diodes to keep from back feeding voltage to each of the pins... two small 4148 GP Diodes should work....

OR....

2) decide on another color that would go well with the case and make small acrylic pieces to go in place of the LED in the front of the unit and shoot both leds into it for each LED set... you would simply share the common ground in the center pin of the connector....
