Twiz, can you make a wire harness from your PCB board to the ICY DOC?

btw: I don't rememebr if I told you already Twiz, but GK is taking care of the sponser display.

sure thing I will bring the stuff to do that and the sleeving at your shop... Not sure what your refering to with the Display though?

I am thinking of using a thick, beveled plaque for mounting valuable documents, etc. Then take some plexi and make a LED housing for the bottom edge to cross-light the frame. I may do a little tribal work around the frame as well to be lit up by the LEDs underneath. The paper inside the plaque will be a glossy, full-color page listing the sponsors and those who took part in the project.

I need to sand out the lines from the mill in the PR logo

The smaller PR is a window for the PSU




Window for Power Supply

All of the scratchs in these alum side panels need to be sanded out. I first use a Mouse sander with 220 paper. From there, I sand by hand with 400, 800, 1000 grit 3M Autmotive wetsand paper. After that I buff out the finish with Mothers BILLET Polish.

The first step is removing these lines created by the cnc mill. I use 120 grit sandpaper rolled up and sand by hand. This is very time consuming.

The background of the logo will be painted purple







Then I went over the entire panel using a Mouse sander with 220 grit sandpaper

After one pass.

While Bill is haven all the fun with the side panels I did some work on the PSU again. I played around with allot of designs for the PR logo side of the PSU and decided on this.



Taking the purple plexi Bill supplied me I cut out the design with a simple table top jig saw. Works wonders for tight curves, but I really like it for the ability to cut inside a design. In case you are wondering why the green tape? There was no protective film on the plexi, so the tapes acts as protection during the fabrication.




Next to accent the edge of the plexi, I used a dremel with the routing attachment to bevel the edges. I have done this before with the DragonModz window with excel ant results. I know the same will show here.






Twizted is now workin on a Dragon Fader circuit to light up the unit.

Bill: What other lighting is planned? Twiz has some new toys to improve his techniques and doing some awesome work.

My only plan for lighting so far is.. Illuminating the front intake grill from behind. You guys got anything in your lighting dept for that?

btw: I need some Purple sleeving for some fans and switches, Where did ya'll get your sleeving? so we match...

We just got the purple in and its not quite as vibrant looking at the one shown in the pictures but if you want to match that is the link to get it...
You will want the Part# BS0125 in the PET Sleeving and the HeatShrink we got is also purple and I suggest the 3:1 as it just always made for a better tighter hold for me...
