I was thinking of doing a matching paint scheme on the mouse, with the case. Maybe have some tribal on the mouse as well, something for the cover anyways. Doing a little bit of brainstorming here.

what about matching the keyboard.

If i get one, sure. Though it might be a tad bit hard, unless you can take off the keys without damaging them and matching something up.

Red02, GrandpaNoob will be modding the keyboard. (see prior posts)

Gary is looking into sponsership from Logitech. Lets wait and see if Logitech will offfer anything cool! Than you and Grandpanoob can collaberate on matching eachother's paint.

The tentative plan for the case is to make panels from silver carbon fiber.

I'm going to buy a G5 for myself (but if logitech falls threw I can give it to GK). I can also use it to try out what I'm planing.

Red02, I just sent you an email about the mouse and KB mods for PRT. Bill suggested we post the correspondence between ourselves here in the thread, but I don't want to give too much away, so here are the broad strokes:

Bill suggested a Saitek Eclipse keyboard instead of the Deck or Logitech G15 I had thought about. I think I can still get away with what I had in mind...

We need to decide who's going to do their mod first, then ship to the other, so we can better color-match each other's work. It would be nice to communicate with you through the Force, but I'm kinda rusty on my telepathy skills...

A couple ideas off the top of my head, carbon-fiber vinyl film, chrome film, tribals, and maybe some more of the purple plex Bill got ahold of...

Sounds good man, my force skills are lacking at the moment. Maybe skype though if I ever turn it on. I'm not sure how detailed you want the paint scheme to be, but if you have something already in mind for the keyboard maybe you should do the mouse too, seeing has how they KB will be the hardest to do.

My ideas are kind of lacking at the moment, I have been out in the sun to much and I think I might have fried my brain

I am waiting on word still for the Mouse and Keyboard combo for this project guys. Once I hear back something I will let you know. If I do hear something by Next monday I will buy them myself and ship them wherever you want them to go for modding.

I could see one of us doing both, so we KNOW that they both match... If we decide to have one of us do both, how about I flip you for it? Seriously, though... I'll have some limited time between now and December to work on the keyboard and mouse if we decide to have me do it. Block leave around Xmas will be the most consecutive time I'll have, but I have the sneaking suspicion that we'll be visiting relatives during that time.

Also, there seems to be a rumor floating around here that my brigade will be deploying around Feb-Mar of next year, so let's keep our fingers crossed that things fall into place just right...

btw; I got a hold of to Rokk at DangerDen. Everything is getting shipped soon except for the pumps and dual 5.25 bay resevoirs, we're getting 2 single res instead. Stock is low on these items and customer orders take priority first. We'll just sort out the pumps elsewhere.
