Creative SB Audigy 2 Value/Logitech Headset problem

I'm having some troubles with my headset (I think). I have the Creadive SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Value card and a Logitech headset with mic (looked for the model but can't find it on the site). Problem is, when trying to use the mic I can hear what I am saying in the headphones, not delayed at all. I don't remember that happening with anything else. Is this normal? I have 2 of these headsets cus I thought it was a problem with that but they both do the same thing.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control

Now go to options > properties, make sure the mixer device is set to your audigy 2, then scroll down, select the last box, it should be microphone. A new volume level control will show for your mic, mute it, and your done.

i knew it was something simple that i probably screwed up at one point or another. gotta learn to NOT screw with stuff when i'm
