No sound wtf

i've tried EVERYTHING, I have NVidia soundstorm and a Creative SBLive! 5.1 and I get no sound, from my 5.1 speakers or my headphones, onboard audio is disabled in BIOS, device manager checks out. wtf?

Does your sound card show up in audio devices? (cont panel>sound and audio)
And in the creative properties make sure it's not set to digital, I've seen that happen a few times.
Also in volume control make sure it's not muted..lol

Speakers work on the other computer.

I've said $%% it I'm due for a reformat and install anyway.

Did you try placing the cards in different PCI slots? Might be worth a try if you havent already reformatted

While the Soundstorm on the NF7 is pretty nice, the SBLive card still sounds better.
I found that with my Live 5.1 (+mp3) card, I eliminated the exact same problem you are facing with simply switching drivers.
These drivers also work for the Audigy line up through Audigy 2.
