Default I have a sound stuttering problem issue

Hello everyone i am having what seems to be a sound stuttering problem when ether playing a game or DVD movie or music, what i have is my surround sound speakers and a headset with mic hook up to play online games and when i play something it stutters and sounds distorted for a few seconds the stops, but it is only for a second or 2 then it starts stuttering again, i have also tried with the head unhooked and still does the same thing , i loaded all the newest drivers and software and still does the same can anyone tell me is there a cure to this issue, the only thing i am not sure of would the onboard sound on MB if it is not disable have anything to do with this issue, Ps i am not sure how to disable the onboard sound if this would be causing the issue and how would i disable it, i do know how to get in the bios i am just not sure what to look under for the onboard sound to disable it, Also i am using just a plain Sound Blaster 24bit pci card for sound, i am using the same card in one of my other computers and is not having this issue, so i am not sure what i am suppose to do to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance ranger1033

Just go into your bios and look around for a while, you will find it eventually. Also look in your device manager and see if you have some sort of conflict there.
