Nvidia SoundStorm on the fritz?

I recently picked up NFS Underground. Man, first off I wanna say, holy crap look what I missed while I was playing Halflife. I love the RX7, the Skyline looks pretty but handles like a brick. It sounds like a banshee.

Didn't we have a thread when this game came out where everyone showed off their rides?

ANYWAY.....I have noticed throughout my gameplay after a while my sound gets laggy and everything that happens now I will hear like 2 seconds later. I have noticed this in Call of Duty. In Call of Duty it's especially bad because it throws me off and I get killed very quickly. Underground sometimes I will hear static especially when I'm tearing ass and hit something (like my opponents, because they just can't seem to drive without hitting something and collecting my own car as well)

I swear I'm stuck in 2003

Have you tried new motherboard and audio drivers?

Have you played with the Audio properties in the game (Lowering sound quality?)

Well lately it's not been too bad and it hasn't done it to me. If it does again I'm putting in my SBLive! 5.1 and we'll see if that helps.
