![]() | Ok, heres the deal. I am wondering if there is any sound card out there with stereo in ports. I am going to get a TV tuner card for my PC just for the novelty of watching TV on my PC when all the TVs are in use. I would also like to hook my XBox up so that I dont have to fight people when I want to play. The only thing I need now is a sound card or something that I can hook the stereo cables into other than a stereo. If anyone can link where I can get such a beast that would be awesome. Thanks S2ua7 |

| Pow - Hoe playa | any sound card with line in is stereo in basicly. if you want RCA jacks all you need is the adapters avalible at most electronic stores. (1/8 stereo to RCA) the ultimate of course is an external ADC box which you can usually get from a music store. latency can be an issue with some tuner cards when playing your xbox. the video maybe delayed by conversion and that will cause an issue. something like the viewsonic N6 video converter (it has component i think) would work better for a console on a monitor. sound usually wont be delayed when you record or use a PC for audio stuff unless its a really crappy card.

As carbongraphite has already mentioned, Line-In is a stereo feed on most sound cards, even integrated audio you find on any motherboard created in the past couple of years. The trick of course, is getting a converter cable from dual RCA to 1/8". The link to the left is an not-so-cheap one I found at RadioShack.com, but any reputable electronics store will have one. Another option you might want to think about is your monitor. If it has built-in speakers, you can probably just plug your gaming system right into it, both for video and audio. Again, though, you'll probably need the RCA converter. -godling
