Default ipod speakers

ok here is the problem:

i designed this setup to charge my ipod, and include a amp and speakers. and would be powered by either a battery or a wall wart.

so i took apart one of those cheep pc speaker setups, a firewire port, a dpdt swich and a battery. i wiired it up like the schematic below.

it works great from bothe battery and ac power when i only use the speakers or charging the ipod. but when i have the speakers on, and then i plug in my ipod, i get static in the speakers.

i am guessing that the ipods charging curcuit causes ripple on the line. it happens both when i use the battery and when u use ac.

oh, and the speakers are sheilded, so its not that

can i just put a cap between the lines of the firewire port?

If any of the electonics pimps can help me it would be apreciated.

Your speakers may be shielded but what about your wiring?

Probably. That type of cabling doesnt really have any sheilding. The only reason its sheilded in a network cable is because of the twists.

nope, got it for christmas a few yrs ago

i found out how to open up minis, and i looked around in mine (omg are the traces small). and after a little bit, i found a black spot, on a small pcb by the headphone jack, so luckly it was not on the mainm pcb, i have been looking on ebay for a broken ipod mini, that i could maby retreave parts from.

if any 0one has an ipod, mini or regular, working or broken, i am in the market.

EDIT:

i just won a auction on ebay, got a new main pcb, and the audio jack pcb that burnt out, so just cross your fingers, and hope i can get all functionality back when it gets here
