| Picked up an Audigy2 recently and had a moderate amount of popping in the headphones. Kinda like a static-sounding pop'sh beep noise. Can you picture it? Good. Well, I thought it was my headphones and I was dealing with it until last night when I played a different game through my speakers (Altec Lansing 2.1 dealies, nothing special but they sound great to me) and I got the same popping beep noise. Very strange. Any ideas? I installed with the installation CD, did an online driver update and everything should be up to date. The rest of the system is as follows. MSI K7n2 motherboard AMD 3200 Barton 1 gig PC3200 DDR ATI 9800 Pro 128 2x80gig WD SATA HDD's in RAID 0 Samsung 52x CD burner | ||

| Maybe your cables arent fully plugged in? I have somewhat of a problem like that when I play Mafia. Its wierd too because it only happens in mafia. When the engine in a car is reved up, the speakers snap, crackle and pop like rice crispies. I just cant figure out why, I have 7.1 surround though but i dont believe that thats the problem. | ||
