| I have an ABIT IS7-E motherboard with Realtek AC97 on-board sound. I'm using SPDIF out into my receiver for Media Center 2005. When I put the system in S3 (suspend to RAM) stand-by, the system resumes okay but the sound does not wake up. I have to reboot the machine to get the sound to come back. I don't think S1 or S3 mode will make a difference on waking the onboard sound. I prefer the S3 standby mode because I want to power down as many components as possible when I'm away from the house to save some energy, plus Media Center will wake up the machine to record then go back into standby. | ||
