Default pc speaker

How can you play anything out of your pc speaker(the speaker inside your case) I know theres volume controls in sound properties for it but i guess thats just to turn it up and down
at my school thats what is used for the speakers is the pc speaker so if anyone knows it would be helpful for lans and such

I was looking at mounting 50 pc speakers into some kind of box running through a 400W amp. Then I would play Alanis Morrisette at max volume while lanning. That would keep that lookers OFF my back while smoking the enemy, and I would remain safe within my headphones.

Well, that is an idea...I know a lot of cases these days have the front vents for position speakers in the front (I know I've got space for 4 fans in the front that I don't even use because I don't need that many fans) I bet you could easily mount some speakers using the holes from it...along with the vents that you could cut out. Although maybe it would be bad to have any decent sized speakers in your comp because of the big magnet on them...ahh well, headphones are still cool!

Yes. Just wire your PC speaker into an adapter and run it from your sound card's sound out port. Too easy. You can get the correct plug from Radio Shack.

i uderstand the original quistion to every extent but why would anyone want to hear any sound from the pc speaker it is very limited to sound quality manly for beeps and errors most sound if pc speaker is hooked up to anything else will distort or sound messed up i would recomend not using the pc speaker it is better of only being used for the original purpuse for error sounds a beeps anyone advanced will need to hear if hooked up otherwise you will not hear them just get any cheap type of speakers that use a headphone type stereo jack like headphones or a portable cd player exterior speakers even some cb radio speaker that has a stereo jack if all else fails try iether buying a set of comp speakers cheap sets run about $10
if not that get an old small size boom box speaker conect a wire to the speaker + and - wire speaker wire cut an old pair of headphones the jack off the end and conect it to the small speaker not the pc speaker but the sound wont be very loud since the comp only pushes a little bit of power out to your speakers via a soundcard might tyr running that jack to the headphone output on the computer for more power to speaker otherwise if you do not have a soundcard you will not be able to get sound other than what is intended out of the pc speaker unless you buy a soundcard

o yeah and if you use any speaker that is not "demagnetized" the magnet on the speakers u use will mess up your comp or you computer monitor, if anywhere close to them so get them at least 2 foot away on small speakers with small magnets anything bigger get further away if you have ever seen what a magnet does to a TV its not good very severe problome and somtimes cant be fixed

I remember back in the day when all you had was a PC speaker... computers weren't fast enough, nor did they have enough space for actual music.

Best "soundtrack" was the trilling set of beeps that made up the splash screen for "The Last Ninja" (in CGA color!)

ADD: Oh crap... I'm gettin' older. I'm starting off with "Back in my day"... bloody hell, next thing ya know I'll be sayin' "Those damn kids!" and "Stop tryin' to help me 'cross the street you little bugger. Don't make me beat the crap out of you with my cane! Girl-Scout or no girl-scout!!!"

Where's my walker? I need some Geritol... the dream is over...
