| I just received news a couple days ago that one of my VERY LONG time friends has only a year to live if that. For the past couple days after hearing this I am so confused and saddened too. I have lost elderly people like this but no one my age. He has his whole life to look forward to but what now? I don't know what to say to something like that? You cant say "its going to be all right". And its hard to confront him about it and what am I supposed to do besides be his friend? Man its just so hard to absorb and take in. And then it makes you think of your own life and realize you can be in his shoes just as fast and what would you do? Just wanted to get that out there for the people wondering what has been my problem on MSN lately. And just to let people take this or leave it, to ENJOY the time you have and don't take it for granted. | ||

| I'm sure everything will be alright as eventually, we're all going to take that infamous dirt nap. Cheer him up talking about what he can do within that next year. He knows he's going to go so get out there and have the best times that you possibly can. It's a lot easier to hear at age 30 that you've got a year left than it would be to hear the same thing at 75. At age 30, there are plenty of things you could do... 1. Go back to that store where you seen the hot chick....just walk up and ask her out to dinner. Who cares if she says no? 2. Get into something dangerous, like skydiving. It'll make every moment worth it. 3. Enjoy his paycheck while he's got it. Screw the medical bills and instead try to screw the strippers. If he's got life insurance coverage, he should be alright. Otherwise, it might be tough on his family when it comes time to settle the accounts. Double-check this one before you start. There are a multitude of things he could do within the next year. You and I both know that we are going to die sometime in the future but yet we don't mind taking a day here and there to do nothing but lounge around the house, right? Your friend has gotten notice on his deadline so he knows not to waste any time between here and then. | ||
