| Here are a couple questions worth thinking about- And After a couple days Of thinking, I cant come up with an answer, IF there is an answer to the questions Ive thought of. Question 1: Do we justify our exsistance by setting goals? (Do we prove to other people that we exsist by setting goals) or Question 2: Do our Goals Justify our exsistance, Meaning, Do the goals that are Preset for us Justify we Exsist? or Question 3: We exsist to justify our goals? (Do we Exsist to prove we have goals) or Question 4: Do we Just exsist with out no justification that we exsist? or Question 5: Does Exsistance mean we have goals? or Question 6:Because we Exsist, does that mean Other people Exsist? or Question 7:If no one exsisted, does that mean nothing else can exsist (ie, A human free world, nature). BUT because we dont exsist, that means nature wouldnt exsist because nature is a word that man has created. Then again, We know Dinsosaurs Exsisted, But humans didnt exsist at that time. So would everything still exsist, even though we stopped exsisting? or Question 8: What if, There was no such thing as exsistance? Would we still exsist even though there is no justification that we exsist? I think question 8 is a paradox, Something like Schrodinger's Cat | ||

| I think you have reached that point in life where you are asking the same questions man has asked since the dawn of his existance on earth. Is this all I am? Why am I here? What happens when I die? An old song from the Talking head comes to mind, and I think it says it best:
http://www.mp3lyrics.org/t/talking-h...in-a-lifetime/ My answer is therefore: THERE IS NO ANSWER What you must do is seek your place in the universe, enjoy it for what it is..and try to understand the meaning of life. Sometimes finding the answers is not as important as learning how one might find them...like the old cliche' says "Life's a journey, not a destination" I have found peace with that answer

| I love that song. Many many many moons ago, I found an answer that suited me for a long time. The question was, "What are we?" The answer is' "We are "What are wes'?"." (Wes' (pronounced wheez) are all humankind.) So what we are is a bunch of whatever we are trying to figure out what we are. Pure and simple. | ||

| I asked my dad during an arguement "What's the point of life? There's no point to this cluster****, dad!" "yes, yes there is." ...mmm, ok... I told my mom the same, during a different arguement, "There's no point to it, just like there's no purpose to life!" "If you believe that, then..." Maybe its completely based on our goals, like you said. We're born or we "just have" ideas of something we want more than anything. And so, in most cases, we try to get it. Of course, if it falls too far away, giving up doesn't seem too bad, what have you got to loose? Well, we don't know, so, you know what comes next. As Solid Necro already used, songs are great for this kind of stuff!
If existance is kind of like a free-for-all then I see where being me has an advantage. I will never have to settle for anyone or anything, because the world will all have to settle for me ![]() Last edited by Fire Hawk; 19-July-06 at 09:55 PM..

| To me I see life as a one time deal. There are no second chances, no do-overs. So, why waste it wondering why we're here? Why bother worrying yourself about what purpose we have here. Go out and live your life, your not getting any younger. Have fun and live life to the fullest, you never know when it could end. Just my cents, take it or leave it! ![]() Slickcam | ||

| My goals and or believes about life are: 1) Never live the same day twice. I wish that was easy to do 2) If you have to make yourself get up and go to work, your at the wrong job. That's for sure, this is the most important idea. In fact, if you can get away with it, don't work at all. 3) When I'm on my death bed i don't want to have any regrets. I hope I'm not in bed when I die 4) You need to share your life with somebody else. If they are the right person. I'm on top of this one, I'm very lucky . | ||

| Humans are a small dot on the canvas which is the universe, just another species although granted we have progressed more than any other species we know of. The way I look at life is: I'm alive today, tomorrow I might be dead, what can I do about it? Answer Jack all so I guess i'll just see what comes! | ||

| There doesn't have to be a reason. I think we exist because out of the endless permuations of universes we got one where matter exists, time is one way, and water has amazing quantum properties. I think the universe is becoming self-aware and we're the neurons. | ||
