Okay, I'm not usually attracted to younger women... but there's this chick at work that's 18 years old (intelligent, attractive, sarcastic... my type)... I'm headin' up on 28...

Sooo... Is it morally wrong to date a chick a decade my junior... or would I be a fool to miss out on somethin' cool 'cause of age hang-ups?

Would you date a woman 10 years your senior if she was hot? If you can honestly answer yes, then 10 years younger doesn't seem so bad now does it?

This is a situation that can only be solved by the application of the "Essex Rule".

Pioneered by a fellow waiter back in the day when these issues weighed heavy on our horny young minds, the Essex Rule is a simple mathematical rule that is applicable over an incredibly broad range of ages.

0.5(your age)+7 = minimal age of tasteful dating

At 28 DS, it would be bad form to date anyone under 21.

Also, DS would satisfy the Essex rule for a woman of 38. She would be able to date anyone 26 or older. It really is pretty much infallible.

Dude... what about the statistical data? Every year I get older, there is a MASSIVE percentage drop for me actually findin' someone around my age who's not pregnant, has kids, crazy, has a crapload of issues from her last marriage, and a ton of other sh*t...

I'm going to ask her out... if she shoots me down (I don't think she will), I'll just shrug it off and shrug it off as "what was I thinking"...

Usually I tend to find women a year or two within my age range more attractive... problem is most of the chicks I've dated have issues...

Scary issues.

If she says yes, I'm gonna tell her right up front I'm a damn decade older than she is... I don't think it's gonna matter for her (she has a cool personality... she's kinda new age without the leg hair)...

Ah hell... we'll see.

I may just wuss out and blame it on the age thing. My hormones will probably hate me, but I'm used to them hating me...

ADD: Joys of dating someone at work... you HAVE to be 18 to work there.
