| Bi P-Hoe-lar | Yeah, apparently, the police don't like finding a guy and a girl cuddling in the back seat of a sedan at 2AM in a middle school parking lot with the lights off and the windows fogged.

| Bi P-Hoe-lar | nah, I think they decided not to fine because we were both over 18 and both still had clothes on.

Think it may have something to do with it being a school parking lot? Maybe a little bit more with it being a MIDDLE SCHOOL parking lot? Lot of pervs out there, man...next time, try a UNIVERSITY or COLLEGE parking lot. *cough*HINT*cough.... Rob P.S. Hey AK, don't go giving away our secrets, dude!

Yes, because you know how young, impressionable children just Congregate at middle schools. In the summer. At two in the morning.

Geese... Is it the high price of gasoline, the geographical position, or are you afraid of the night controller at the local "cheap and sleazy" 30buck a nite motel? Dood what do you expect when the Local law enforcment officer rolls up on a suspicious vechicle in a Middle school parking lot? you really didn't think you were blending in did ya? Go with the candles, a bubble bath, some fruit(the juicy eating kind) and a memorable evening at the local budget motel. If you preplan this, you can prolly trade the owner some computer maintainence for a stay at the inn... | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Around here, there aren't really any 'cheap and sleazy' motels.... the 'burbs around large cities tend to be fairly void of the cheap stuff. I can't say it was unexpected, kinda funny in retrospect. We were simply driving around talking, as is our custom, and she got tired of driving so we stopped. And the back seat is far more comfortable. funny thing is, I was the less dressed of the two of us. My glasses were on the dash.

Not being smart with you, but 10 to 15 years ago, you would be right. This day and age, nothing suprises a law enforcement officer anymore. Here's what I've seen in the past day. I just left a movie theater about 12:30 a.m. and passed three teenage girls who obviously couldn't drive yet waiting on their mother to pick them up. Swung by Wal-Mart on the way home just now and guess what, 11 and 12 year old boys playing around on their BMX bikes in the parking lot...at 1:00 a.m. The police chased them out shortly after I arrived. Yesterday, while dropping by the Mall of America (which I loath but it's the closest Suncoast for miles) at 10 a.m. so I could get in and out before the huge crowd had a line of cars full of parents dropping off their kids for the day. Kids today have a lot more freedom that many of us older gents around here could ever possibly imagine. If I made it to midnite on a Saturday nite during the summer before I had my drivers license, it was because...well, it didn't matter if I was still breathing by the time I got home because death was the only excuse for being late. Nowadays, as long as you aren't sitting in jail, parents just don't give a damn anymore...and even then, they still don't but have to put on a show or they'll wind up in there with them for neglect. Know what happened to a co-worker of mine the other day? His 15 year old neice stayed the night at a friend's house and when she woke up the next morning, she told her friend's mom that she was supposed to go to the bus station to so she could visit her aunt in Denver. The mother didn't even call to see if the story was true and just took her to the bus station. It was 10 p.m. that night before this girl's parents called to find out where their daughter was. They found her the next day in Oregon (I'm in Minnesota) about ready to skip north with an illegal Mexican she had met on the Internet...he was 24. So, if I happened to be out patroling the streets at two in the morning in the summertime and I see a car with fogged windows in the parking lot of a middle school, it wouldn't suprise me to find underage kids from ages 10 to 18 in the car. Why? Well, I just explained why and kids, being creatures of habit, are going to hang out in a place they are most familiar with...school parking lots, Wal-Mart parking lots, or party spots out in the country. Not trying to be smart, just trying to give you the officer's most likely view of the situation. Being over 18, she kicked you loose. What do you think she would have done had you or this girl been under the age of consent? Rob

| Sam-Hoe-rai N-Hoe-mad | Sounds like more fun than my last couple brushes with John Law... One was a lecture about traffic safety (the day my freakin' Merc stalled in front of the cop, I stomp the gas and peeled out).... the other was racing a friend across a parking lot at 1 in the morning... cop wanted to know what the hell we were doing. Oh, and then the time I was taking my dog to the vet and I got a ticket for expired tags... Any chance I can just get immunity from traffic cops? I follow most the other rules... I'll squeal on anybody they want for that immunity!
