Its only 5 days until I meet Liz for the 1st time face to face - its gonna be scary, but Ive done the internet relationship before so have a rough idea of what to expect. If things go well, Alton towers is the next stop with a hotel booked for a night , then who knows?

I named the thread Breaking the ice because of the moves we make sometimes that require supreme and fast thinking so that mistakes arent made - trying to date someone, a new job, convincing a higher party or memeber of staff to do somthing through a presentation, anything like this which really does require shier guts the like you dont use in everyday life.

My question? Ahh yes. Can you relate? You been in a heart beating expirience requiring a lotta lotta courage? Please do spill the beans.

I was at a Fourth of July party at a friend of mine's place. Live band in the backyard, bar, the hole bit. Hottest chick their was with 4 of her friends and NOBODY was talking to them. She was a few years younger than I (about 7). I was waiting to let some of the younger dudes have a shot but all they were doing was standing around drooling. I had enough of this, walked right up to her, and said " hey you, com'ere" and took her over to the alcohol and we each did a flaming Dr. Pepper. She was mine for the nite.

Lol wow so many of those situations, most recent was with my current girl friend. Ok a little background.



I work with a friend of mine called Lauren. SheÂ’s always had a crush on me and we had one night thing but I cut it off cause sheÂ’s to good a friend and not my type, anyway she still had a thing for me at this time. One night after work she introduces me to her best friend, and I swore my jaw hit the floor, she was stunning. Anyway we went to the pub that night and we got to know each other a bit, and we got on well. I texted her and talked online a lot more over the next few days and next weekend and anther night at the pub we hooked up, and we ended up having a rather long good night kiss. Anyway next morning we talk about how to deal with Lauren. We decided we should tell her together, god it took so much restraint the next night when I went out with Lauren and some mates, someone asked who bob was (my girlfriends nickname) and she said oh its my beast friend that Scott(thatÂ’s me) really fancies, but she doesnÂ’t like him. I just stood with a huge smile on my face and didnÂ’t say anything. Later that night she got my phone and found some texts, I got a nice slap. Took ages to make up with her. But was all worth it still with bob (that always sounds odd) after 3 months, and lauren calmed down.



Hey nev tell me how you get on, I have a mate whoÂ’s been talking to this girl for a few years online, it seems odd to me, I think its hard to understand it youÂ’ve never been in that situation.

Telling the classic Schwinn bike shop that I fux0r3d my 1978 Schwinn Traveler they sold me and bent the hell out of the front of it.

Lying in the hospital bed having to explain to my last girlfriend how I nailed that storm drain and messed up my face when I don't even remember the initial impact. Not to mention I was flirting with the pretty nurse prior to my g/f's arrival.
