How big was the rock? That's the main issue. All things must pass, and so too will this rock.

Bring him to a vetrinarian, and it'll have it removed. Otherwise it'll damage/rip internal organs, and it might not survive that.

Read an article this weekend about a dog swallowing golf balls, If u want him to live you'd take him to a vet fast.
I love my dog like a son, he tore a nail partially last week and me and the misses dropped everything, to hell with work and rushed him to the vet just to clean it and wrap it.
He's family and I hate seeing him in pain.

Yeah, we took him to the vet a couple weeks ago, there was a big operation, I was referring to mentally, not physically. I think he might be retarded. LOL. I'm not kidding though. You think he might have learned a lesson from the rock, but now he favors shards of glass and stuff... he's really dumb.

But yeah, I like the po' little guy... but I am not attached to him like I imagine some of you are to your dawgs - mostly cuz I'll be heading off to college in a year or so.

my dog likes rocks too but i dont think he has swallowed one yet. he just picks them up then tries chewing them then leaves them on the lawn. then as you mow the lawn he watches you pick up the rocks then goes and puts more in your path.

I agree - if the rock was at all pointy it could do internal damage ... if it was rounded it depends the ratio between the size of the rock & the size of the dog's, umm, you know cloaca.

While you're at the vets microsoftman, have the dogs plums removed - a dog that stupid should not be allowed to reproduce.

Hope it works out ok

LOL, yeah, he's definitely not gonna be allowed to reproduce.

And, yeah, he was staring at my little brother, who is also a retard, so TekXKoid, you're right.

*edit* btw, the rock was already removed... overnight surgery... 18" incision...

I don't know how large the rock wasl, but it was enough to make him not want to eat or play at all, which, of course, is quite unusual for a puppy.
