| Well most of you may not give a darn, but man life can deal with ya.First in beginning of May a vessel popped in my leg all of once cause of a base ball size hematomia(?).Then with cast in tow went back to working(because rent and bills due).Only then to pinch a nerve in my neck.It was so bad I could not even surf the web with you buds of mine for almost a month or better. It got worse with every day and finally went to chiropractor in hopes of relief. After several days and money spent with no sign of better situation. It got so bad my arm was on fire I mean burning and a rod shoved under my shoulder into chest(lord help me).Without insurance the hospital will only stabilize you and out the door!!!Out of desperation I tried a pill given to a friend when his back was broken.I was called Primadone and scared the heck out of me for 2 1/2 days I laid in bed seeing colors and numb.It ended thank God and my discomfort went away mostly. Then after not working for almost 3 weeks I picked up a nice job(I do Plumbing)and first day ended up getting a grain of stucco in my eye. This just hurt more with every try to wash it out.Back to emergency room that night to get relief.Lord as I am near a half century old what is next?Just letting you know whats a going on...Jo | ||

| I got a nice little reality check today on a midspan. It's an area between two telephone poles and I placed my ladder with hooks and all up on the strand against the feeder (for cable), climbed about 30 ft. to the top, belted in only for the ladder to start sliding to the left. Thank god for safety harnesses. The ladder got caught on it and didn't fall. But either way, even if the ladder fell the harness would have caught me and I would have been safe (and the tech who drove by two minutes later would have put the ladder back up. lol) | ||

| Guess what me again. This time I took a job a couple of weeks back,to install one of these 2,000.00 dollar Kohler shower systems with the 6 heads and a programmable controller.First the concrete had to be busted up with my trusty jackhammer and rough-in a P trap and shower strainer in new location.Upon cutting the 2" cast iron pipe below slab with a 4"side grinder w/thin cutting disc.I noticed the pipe was trapped or clogged by the spray the disc slung on to my arm, neck and face(not unusual).I asked the owner if they had problems with this drain,to no reply. On to work roughing in new P trap and shower strainer for vinyl pan w/mud build up and tile later. The next day I noticed I had some sort of bug bites on my face and neck. Then after 2 more days(weekend)I knew I had been chemical burned.By the next weekend after staying home all week hoping to heal,my face had disfigured as if I had a stroke.Off to the ER again without insurance I found out that the drain opener or whatever it was not only burned me but caused shingles and a condition called Belles Palsy which all muscle movement on half the face is gone. This really sucks to say the least. Now I want to inform the contractor of all this to see if He will offer to pay the medical bills or any permanent damage I may have...Jo Last edited by jofultner; 07-October-07 at 04:33 AM.. | ||

I'd sue that prick all the way to where the moon don't shine. You lost use of some of your muscles, if that ain't a reason to sue then there probably aren't any reasons. Best of luck to you Jo and I sincerely hope your luck starts to pick up. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Banned | I feel for you man. Life has kicked me in the balls every oppertunity it has had in my lifetime. I'm only 42 (my b'day was this past fri) but I have enough problems for ten people! High blood pressure that requires 3 meds, type 2 diabetes requiring 3 meds one of which in insulin, hight cholesterol with 2 meds and chronic spine pain with 2 meds for that. I say spinal pain because it is virtually problematic from the base of my skull to my hips! There are about 3 definable problem areas but those are just the parts that hurt more than the rest. | |
