![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | An anonymous reader writes "Most emacs/vi users know this, but it seems the more I use the mouse, the less output I am making. The keyboard does seem to make much more of a mind-meld than the imprecise mouse. Paul Tyma hits it on the head."http://hardware.slashdot.org/article...54229&from=rss |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Interesting article (here's a direct link). The one thing I'd somewhat disagree with is his assessment that graphics pepole prefer mice entirely. While it would suck to have to edit an image with the keyboard exclusively, I've found my speed using Photoshop has increased markedly in the past year. Why? Cause I learned a lot of the keyboard shortcuts. Now I use my left hand for selecting tools (on the keyboard) and leave the cursor on the actual work area. As with the other apps he mentioned, it's much faster to learn the keyboard shortcuts. Incidentally, I have to admit I like vi. |
