![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Survey firm Piper Jaffrey has results saying that teenagers are losing interest in videogaming. From the Gamasutra article: "Interestingly, almost 80 percent of teens indicated that they intend to spend less time playing video games in 2006 and nearly 70 percent indicated that their interest in playing video games is decreasing." What do you think could be causing this drop in interest from young people? Sequels? Mature themes? Sequels? Link To Original Article |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | aaahem.... perhaps its because of money? Time constraints? Too busy having a life outside? Or it could be that an entire generation looks at a bunch of games that are based on already beat to death game engines and are deciding that even though the game has eye candy, it's still the same old same old.

| Warcraft Warrior | I'm going to look at the bright side of this one: less 15 year olds owning and mocking me in HL2DM....JOY!!! Seriously, though, this article sort of reminds me of a New Years resolution: They "intend" to spend less time does not necessarilly translate to: they are spending less time. I'd like to see a follow up to this that tracks purchasing patterns by age demographic....I'm not going to hold my breath on it, but it would be nice to see.
