Ok what is up with Newsbot posting multiple post that are all the same, is anyone else getting the same issues, i do not mind one or two but when i see 4 to 5 of the same thing there has to be a problem..

nope no problem here but i'm starting to wonder wether we need a newsbot really, I mean look at this, he's got to be better than the bloody newsbot...



Edit: I can't get the pick any bigger cos dual moniters is enabled but If you can't make it out, Thrill Kill seems to be doing better than the newsbot!

Yeah i know what you mean there between Thrill Kill and Twizted they both do a awesome job keeping everyone up to date with all the new stuff out there, and i will have to admit Newsbot puts up some of the most craziest stuff i have ever seen and would never look at.

I see zero newsbot stories.

OK OK OK... I have now reconfigured the NewsBot. I removed the old hack I was using to do the job and am now using the same feature which was recently added to VB itself. So, hopefully, the sporadic flake-outs will cease.

Thanks GK for fixing this it has been awhile since i seen it, and it is working good so far as to what you fix.

I'm not sure how quickly that newsbot fix is supposed to work and I may be seeing things wrong but the images I've attached to this post show that I've selected and saved the Options to exclude the News and Feedback forums.

The second attached pic shows that I'm still seeing (on page 2 of my New Posts) all the NewsBot messages.


This has been a problem with my account for the past two months and I'm pretty sure I've dropped a few PMs in your mailbox about it GK.

Is there any help you could offer?

Give it another try... there were a couple permissions settings out of whack. See if you have more options to filter out forums in the options now.

I'm still having this problem though, i have unset and reset the new section from my new posts view, and i still get them every time. Any way to fix this??
