I have just setup the forum homepage to be VERY streamlined. The old way forced you to scroll FOREVER to find what you were looking for... I want to see what you guys think about this new way to display the forum homepage. Keep it or go back to the old way?

well as much as i stoped visiting the home page after i found the new posts link, i dont see the difference, maybe its just the havent sent it through the system, but ive refreshed and dont notice the difference, anybody else not seeing it, i havent seen the Home page in awhile but maybe thats just it, i like tyhe setup of it though, maybe if we could just get the recent discussions RSSed that would be kewl

At first I was like... WTF.
I liked the descriptions... though I agree it took forever to scroll. I guess I gota be neutal on it.

I dont really look at it, so its no biggie to me.

I'm not really diggin' the forum homepage change... I really don't mind all of the scrolling... besides, the only thread I regularly check is the sig shop, and I have it bookmarked. But I personally liked the old style better.

It doesnt seem like anything changed , but I rarely do look at the homepage.

I like it but I think it needs some work.

The title bars need to stand out more 'cause a person could easily skip something since it looks like the text on the rest of the page. Maybe a custom graphic text instead of just regular text?

Also, I think it would be neat if you could add in a mouse_over to add in a description of what that sub-forum is about. This way, it would help someone know where to look instead of just guessing and eventually just posting in any old place. Remember on the old page you had an explaination of what the sub-forum was about? Maybe put that in a pop-up box.

Otherwise....I like it.

i like the orignal setup... when i was scrolling down, i would from time to time see a post that would catch my eye

Sorry for all the recent change-ups folks... I'm not trying to drive you crazy, honest! I am just trying to simplify things... imagine looking at the site from the perspective of someone who has never been here. I want them to be able to surf around easily... without being overwhelmed.

I'm not really goin to mis seeing awards/moods/contact info but I really did like seeing reputation bars and post counts. It showed commitment to the site and let new members know that they knew what was goin on.

Can't really see a change on the forum page byt then I never go there. But anything that makes life simpler has got to be good. Keep up the good work GK!

i like it but the only complaint i got about the site that maybe you could simlify is we got 49 forums to choose from when we make a thread. we could sum up about half of those in anything goes. seems like its getting out of hand. but other then that nice work GK

I like it the original way you had it GlitterKill, but i can live with it and it is your decision and anything you decide to make pcApex better looking and up to date with other websites that are out there.

I'm gonna have to stay (Chaotic) Neutral on this one as I like both ways. The old version looked better to me but I also like the topics being more condensed.

I like the new look . I really don't see much of a change. If it's faster then I'm for it.

I switched it back to the old way this morning.
