Collapsable User Info

I have made some template changes that will allow you to collapse or expand info for members in the forums.

This will allow you to greatly reduce clutter created from our site's bells and whistles... it also displays this info in a more organized manner when displayed. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

EDIT // You can use the old post layout method via your UserCp Options if you preferred that layout.

when i try to expand it, it takes me to the 1st post

I'm thinking at least the rep bar should be left out of the collapsible information. It's a quick way for new members to see how much credibility an already established member has. If you didn't know them by name, you would need to click on each person who makes a response to see it. Besides, that doesn't take up a whole lot of room.

Other than that, I think it looks great and really cleans up the member info.

Humm i don't see anything when expand the info from the members display.

Plus......I love Info

Is anyway I can have the Option to have the Info from other members always open?

If you are having trouble getting it to work right, try to do a page refresh (F5) to reload the page.

T2: When you expand them they should remain that way until you close them.

BA: Hmm I see what you mean. I will play around with it a bit.

This was my problem, now its working great. Its not a bad add on and it looks great. And I like BA's idea, everything else can be hidden for all I care.

i dont know if im the only one experiencing this but

whenever i click on a user's info....
it opens up the info for the user that posted above him

for example.... i clicked on BA's info and it opened up TKs

just right now i noticed the same thing as Waff ....

if i click on the info it opens it up for everyone and still takes me to the first post

It expands the page because it takes more room so it actually doesn't "jump up" to the first post. Just seems that way.

I'm happy with the change now that I pressed the PF5 key.

MAKE SURE YOU HIT F5 IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE!

SO far there is no option to expand only a certain person's info. The choice to expand or collapse the user info is stored in the cookie for PCApex. Imagine if that info had to be stored PER PERSON! That would be a LARGE cookie.

If that option ever becomes available I may set that up if it doesn't add extra load to the server.

Hummmm.....doesn't seem to be saving that preference.

Also, after the information is expanded, it throws off the alignment from post to post due to the amount of information contained in their settings.

If the server load doesn't go down then I may have to remove this... Ever since installing the mod it has quadrupled the server load for some wierd reason. If the load doesn;t get better I will remove the collapse feature but leave the new info formatting.

Looking into it saving that setting (open or not). It is SUPPOSED to...

Load has calmed down. Must have been something else that increased the load.

Hmm, I dont know, I just dont like the fact that rep power is on there. Essentially, you can find out how much rep a person has by re-arranging the rep formula...Maybe not an exact number, but an estimate.

Example- the Person above (eascarface),Im guessing He has around 350 Rep points. (thats a rough estimate...)

Maybe you could have done that before...

Oh, one thing with the collapsable bar, It extends the Sig Area Alot and wastes space...
