This isn't unusual with sites that license out advertising space to big companies. I'm a member of the Shadowness.com digital art community, and we had Viagra and sex advertising on there thanks to Google Ads once. That was pretty funny.

Amazon ads often display products based on WHAT YOU SEARCH. So if you've been looking for adult products on their website or products people who are into that kind of stuff buy, ads like that very luckily will come up.

Then again, Amazon has very poor product recommendations in my opinion.
