Firefox DOES have IRC support, actually. I use this on my linux box.
It is called Chatzilla, give it a try.

Yeah, the only major downside to firefox is the extreme resource hog that it is. I view it as, It is open source and the extra resources used means more features available if you make them. I know that eventually they will lower the resource usage for default firefox, but until that point in time I am gonna stick it out and wait.

You never have anything nice to say to anyone here. Opera is a great browser. Especially for those of us who for one reason or another find Firefox unsuitable.

Anyway.

I am also having problems using Opera with pcapex.

Me three. Opera 9 wouldn't work with PCA, so I stuck with 8.54. I'm hoping it gets resolved with the next Opera release. I've only had problems with PCA, no other vbulletin forums, including GameApex.

Yeah I was using Opera 9.01 but just couldn't stand having to use another browser just for pcApex so i've downgraded back to 8.54.

IE is terrible, last time i used it was to download firefox

from what i can gather, you should probably use firefox despite its shortcomings until the problem is fixed in the next opera update

or you could always buy more ram so you dont need to worry about it being a resource hog

I have found the bug that was causing Opera not to work correctly in the PCApex forums. You Opera 9+ users should be good to go now. Please let me know if you run into more issues.
