Default I need an Admin to help me

I have been receiving the PC APEX e-mail UPDATES and I have unsubscripted to them NUMEROUS times, I have attempted to make the changes in the "To make changes to the PC Apex Updates you receive please visit the Update Center." I've logged in and made the changes yet I still get the updates

Nothing I do stops these spam e-mails, I don't want them, I never asked for them. I have written numerous pleas for help using the PCApex contact us in the Update center, ALL HAVE BEEN IGNORED.

PCApex Forums

I would like this to be addressed and rectified as soon as possible as I would prefer to not simply add this sites e-mail review messages to my Spamnet filter, as that would probably not be the best interest of this site.
I'm really pissed off that I came to this site to help a member that had a trading issue and asked for my help. What a mistake that was, since the staff is to busy to even read my numerous requests for this issue to be fixed.

Is someone at the helm at this site? or are they sleeping at the wheel?

PS, Gary Mullins or whomever, No need to respond to this thread, please just read my messages and fix the problem if you can find the time.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, how long have you been emailing the Site Admin?
I know that Gary has been very busy lately and doesn't always get to his email (too many to count likely) in a timely fashion.
I will send him an email and/or PM of my own if that will help as we are obviously not in the business of running off members. (unless they deserve to be)

Edit: After looking at your profile settings (I can't change most of them) it seems that you are a bit off on what it is that you are subscribed to. What you need to do is go into your User CP and click on the Edit Options link. Then in the Messaging & Notification section choose Do Not Subscribe from the drop-down box (rather than the Instant Notification that you have it set to).
So this is basically a problem you could have fixed yourself all along..... cheers!

Indeed... very sorry to have missed your notifications... I can assure you that you have not been ignored at all. Since the Update Center came online I hve unsubscribed a handful of people for them. The only way I would not have done this is if I had not received the email. I am sure my spam filter is hitting a false positive somewhere.

Please send me a PM with the email address the emails are coming to. To help avoid the problem in the future I will have each subsciber sent their activation code with each update so they can go striaght away to change the updates without having to request the code first. I have not heard of anyone who was actually unable to remove themselves once they followed directions to do so. I will go back through and do some more testing today since I want people to be able to stop or change their updates if they choose to.

Edit // I just ran through the option change process and it worked great. I think that there are simply too many steps to take and that is what is confusing people. I will include much better info about how to stop updates in future mailings. All the info you need will be right there instead of having to have it sent to you. Sorry for the hassle.

Edit again // I just changed the formatting of the newletters emails to include the email and activation code needed to change the update options without having to jump through any hoops. I also updated the info on the update center page to reflect this change:

"In order to make sure you are signing yourself up for these updates (not someone else doing it for you for some reason) you will receive a confirmation email with an activation code to use to fully activate your updates. In order to make sure you can unsubscribe easily, all the info you need to change your update options is included at the bottom of each email. You shouldn't have to jump through hoops to stop or change the updates. "

Default Re: I need an Admin to help me

I should have come into the forums months ago asking for help in this situation, that was my mistake. I only thought of this after I shot off a steamy e- mail off last night. If nothing else, this thread caught your attention and I appreciate the quick reply. Pretty fluent with the VB system, just not at all familiar with the crazy unsubscribe process you had going on here. It's a good thing you mentioned you may have streamlined unsubscribing as it was a conundrum.

The way the unsubscribe process was set up, if you're not familiar with the exact way you had to do it, it ends up being a viscous cycle and an endless loop. After unsubscribing and following each step, I was starting to get annoyed when all it did was send me more e-mail showing product reviews... I was more annoyed that each of my e-mails asking for help fell on deaf ears.

Anyway thanks for sorting this out. I was really pissed off when i started this thread, feel free to delete this thread as the problem is now hopefully rectified.
