Default Deals and Steals addition?

While reading through some of the deals and steals threads, it occurred to me (once again) that I cannot stand rebate offers, unless they are instant rebates and not the mail in crap. I am sure I am not the only one that feels that way.
So what I am suggesting is for thread authors to include in the subject line, maybe in parentheses, whether the deal has a rebate or is free and clear so to speak.
Anyone else think this is a good idea?

How about a sub-forum inside the deals and steals section for mail in rebate deals?

I always include AR in the title to specify that it is AFTER REBATE.

CompUSA stopped doing them and Office Max just joined suit. Now just for best buy. One time i bought a HD from CompUSA that had like $75 off between two rebates, but both of them wanted original UPCs, so i wound up only doing the $50 rebate and not the other $25, that left a sour taste in my mouth, but then i found newegg.

Best Buy's been fairly good about not putting mir with their stuff most of it is just instant rebates now.

I realize that, but I meant in the subject line of the thread so I don't have to open the thread if there is a mail-in rebate involved.
Maybe categorize them as (MIR) for mail-in rebate, (IR) for instant rebate (if even necessary), etc.
EvilClown's idea is nice too and actually improves upon mine because then I could use the control panel to simply set it to where I do not even see the MIR deals.

Edit: Thanks to PurpleDiamond for already including this.

You should try just sending a copy, as long as it is a decent copy and you complain if you get denied you should be fine...(hmm, upon rereading the previous statement, i think i may want to not use the word "fine")

Good suggestion, godfoot; I'll be sure to put AR from now on if I post any such deals.

By the way, "Best Buy expects to eliminate all mail-in rebates within its store by the end of 2007," says MarketCenter.

How about even adding a little smiley type thing that you have to check to say whether its rebate or not. But AR works fine for me, Im a rebate whore...

Well, I truly appreciate all that "cooperate". My main gripe is that if they want to give it to you at a lower price, just knock off the total up front. I already have one institution making money off my hard-earned, I don't need another trying to scrape up all they can squeeze out of you in the interest they earn.
It isn't like the interest they make off a single sale is a lot, but they count on many people not sending their rebates back because the process takes so damn long, to make even more money.... screw that!
