PCA doesnt work in opera...

Ok, so the other night i saw on /. that Opera 9 had been released, i'd been using the beta since it came out and PCA worked fine, but now nothing shows up in the forums. I dont know if its Opera or what, because i know we've been going through some updates around here. Basically only the edges of forum pages load, the bar at the top, the sidebar and the very bottom. Basically everything from and including the top post reply button down to the bottom bar is just the blank light blue... Whats going on with this.

I get that in opera 9 as well, u get a bit of the left part of the forum if u click on the search button

I'm running Opera 8.52 in Linux. It shows the forum okay, but when I do any kind of topic search (new posts, etc.) it did what you describe. It showed everything except the actual threads.

Weird, it's working okay now. Interesting... doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not.

Strange.

Upgraded to Opera 9 non-beta last night, same problem. Beta worked.

I think it must be a stylesheet thing, cos I tried setting the view to "user view" and it became poorly formatted, but readable.

I love Opera but it can be a bit weird sometimes. I don't like to use it on here cos it caches way to much and I never know if the page i'm looking at has been refreshed since I was last on it.

Anybody who knows the backend of PCA got any input? Heres O9s compatatability list...
Opera 9 CSS Specs.
So whats being used that was supported in the beta but not in the final, or whats busted on the other end?

As far as I can tell, the problem lies with the "dynamic" menu. If you roll over the "search V" menu item, the whole content (the threads and actual forum messages) actually appear in a thin vertical strip.

This is because the div that has the vbmenu_popup style is set to display:none, but that probably changes when you roll over. My guess is that either a div is badly terminated, is not terminated at the right spot, or Opera 9 changed the way it handles divs.

Those drop-down menus never really worked in 8.5, not for me anyway.

So, anyways, time to start div hunting!

Cyno, I had the same problem when I upgraded to Opera 9. I couldn't be bothered to deal with it, so I went back to 8.54 until this issue gets resolved.
