Another major forum update coming...

Hey gang... I just wanted to whet your appetite a bit concerning a new update coming to the forums as soon as it is released and approved by Vladimir it will go live here. Curious about the new features? Check this thread out which covers the new features which have been mentioned so far. Looks to be a NICE update!

An Option we can all use

Private Messages: Quota Warning
Once you have reached 90% of your private message quota, you will receive a warning telling you that you have almost reached your quota.

Whats a super Moderator? Is it like a moderator with super powers?

The infraction system looks like the rep system-with a different name and with more options.

I was hoping there'd be something about "making the pages load faster". PCApex forums seem much more graphically heavy than some, and load slower as a result.

I'm going to enjoy that "multi quote" option.... and I bet the "auto resize image attachments" will be a great
help for those who don't know 'jack about imaging... Hope it works flawlessly on FF, though...

Myself i do not seem to have a problem loading the page, but i do have of course some really good bandwidth going threw my Internet provider since they change all there lines to fibre optics.

They CAN BE graphically heavy or you can minimize the graphics. There are options to disable signatures, avatars, and more. Those alone can make a big difference in page loading if you are experiencing slow-loading pages.

Some of the flash ads can be pretty big, and if you've got a couple of tabs of PCA open it can slow things down even more because of em.

i also seem to have the same issue with those flash sigs ....
people with flash sigs that post twice or more times in a single thread/page make the whole thing incredibly sluggish being that there's already 2 flash ads
