PCApex Podcast?

I was thinking about this, and I was wondering if GK or anyone else has come across the idea of producing a PCApex Podcast for modding and PC news and discussion with live call-in via Skype or some-such. If not, why not? I think it would be a novel way to get more users involved.

That kinda thing takes time, im pretty sure GK has his hands full as it is.

I'm sure there are some of us here who could take care of it with little to no direct input from GK, as long as he designates a set of guidelines (nothing beyond a pg-13 level, persay). I'm not saying GK would need to do it himself. I was actually suggesting it as something I would like to personally tackle.

Well, first you'll need both Skype and Audacity. Both are free downloads and easy enough to set up. Also, you would need to be able to devote about two or three hours of your time to doing the actual podcast, which may include interviews, reading the news, etc. A decent microphone would be great, too.

im not really big into podcasts. but i guess im one of the few. for some reason its just not my thing. but if its good for the site might as well give it a try.

Pod casts are pretty cool. Sounds like an awesome idea. Add reviews of stuff to your podcast though, that would add to your material. Good luck, sorry I can't get involved, life is too busy as it is.

How about an IRC channel??? Have it embedded in the website so you can easily click "chat" and go to the java irc room.

Well, we did have a Pimprig IRC channel before, but it wasn't much of a success. If anyone wants, I have a server that you guys are free to use.

As far as an IRC room goes, I'm willing to register #pcapex on my server, irc.sonic-tsunami.net, unless someone else already has a registered channel that they want to use.

The IRC chat stuff has been suggested and attempted multiple times... It never really pans out.
