Great thread.

I stumbled upon it after I googled "case mods"

The "pimpin" theme at the time made me chuckle and was tastefully done, but what really impressed me was how active the forums were... and still are today.

Hmm, it MAY have been the caffiene machine, maybe not. WHat I do remember is I found the page addres in the back of a MaxPC with the rig of the month. Now I am totally into modding. Infact, bout to go to my dads in about 30 mins to get started...but that means I have to turn this off....oh....God....I feel so conflicted.

WHAT DO I DO!!!!??/

I think it might have been the max pc issue with wixx. It might also have been a google search result. It might also have been from another website. I really have no idea.

It was from some other modding site. I never really visited the forums much, but now I'm here.

well i stumbled upon pimprig through another modding site i think it was gideon tech. while in my computer networking class in high school. we were able to use the net and i always would check out the awesome modded rigs and read up on articles on modding. i was just guesting for a few months until i recently signed up. the peeps are great and friendly here in

I stumbled across PimpRig back in January of 2002 when I was trying to find an alternative to the Volcano 6cu HSF I had bought for my new XP 1700+. It was my first experience with AMD and had no clue that a simple hsf could make such a difference in my computer. Seeing that the first computer I ever built was P 200 and the HSF was held on by a paper clip I had no clue this thing would be so important when I ordered the middle of the road price from tigerdirect. Some how I lost my username and password and had to start over again a few months ago. Oh and btw I think it was a search on Yahoo or Google for heatsinks that brought me here.
