| GK, In the former iteration of this site, we used to be able to use alt+s to submit a post. Now, it no longer works. Is there any way to reactivate that? I know it's a really stupid thing, but I'm a keyboard user, not a mouse user. 99% of the time I use keyboard shortcuts to do everything. I don't want to create work though; if it's gonna be a pain in the ass, then forget about it. | ||

bottom of every page has the old old layouts and settings. Also in your options dialog, there are options on posting and how you want to. Don't know about the keyboard shourtcut though. EDIT: Actually I posted this by pressing alt S.... seems to work for me..... in firefox... Last edited by s1ugh34d; 24-September-07 at 10:36 AM..

| Not working on FireFox. But joose, if you're using FF have you pressed F7? Brilliant for those who prefer keyboards to mice. http://forums.pcapex.com/other_pc_pr..._browsing.html | ||

It's WAY faster to click alt+s to send an email rather than to find your mouse, then find your cursor (on the 3 monitors I have on my computer) then move it over to the 'send' button and click it. When I type an email, (and a pcx post) when I'm done it's 'alt+s' then on to the next task. Super-quick. Move between windows with alt-tab, close windows with alt-F4, save, print, format cells, copy/paste; you'd probably be impressed with how fast you get crap done when you're used to using keyboard shortcuts...it's extremely frustrating using an older system; they just can't keep up ![]() Oh...and I know about caret browsing, but that's not what I mean; before, when you hit alt+s it would submit the post. You didn't have to 'tab around' to get to the button and press space. It was a direct shortcut. GRRR....did it AGAIN.... ![]() I'm using FF 2.something and alt+s brings up the history menu.

![]() I think the whole issue stems from FireFox 2.x using alt+s to bring up the history menu. This menu didn't exist in FF1.x
